on the right side of your post there is a button called "modify". Click that and you'll be able to add text to an existing post as opposed to triple-posting.
Thanks.

I fail to see how $400,000 is better than $500,000, or indeed how numbers like $80, $225, $900 and $1750 are better than...well, anything.

Frankly, I don't see the reason of modifying the money tree off-handedly. Many versions of the show altered their money trees because of the value of their currencies or because they introduced a new currency (Euro). To some degree, it's also acceptable to change the money tree because of new rules. There are, however, some countries that have weird money progressions. What comes to my mind immediately is Venezuela. Their money tree is: 200,00060,000 30,000 15,000 8,000 5,0003,000 1,800 1,100 700 500300 200 150 80 I saw one episode with this money tree on youtube. It looks really odd when someone wins 1,100 bolívares... I think I know what my favorite money tree is. It goes like this: 1,000,000500,000 250,000 125,000 64,000 32,00016,000 8,000 4,000 2,000 1,000500 300 200 100 ;D

Honestly, my favorite money tree is the 12-question UK one.
- $1 Million - $500,000 $250,000 $150,000 $75,000 - $50,000 - $20,000 $10,000 $5,000 $2,000 - $1,000 - $500
It fixes some flaws in the initial money tree, mainly that now the risk-reward ratios are better, and the free guess after the second safe haven isn't for double your money.

What about my money tree with the 12-question format:
1 MILLION (top prize) 500,000 250,000 125,000 75,000 50,000 (milestone) 25,000 10,000 5,000 2,000 1,000(milestone) 500

What about my money tree with the 12-question format: 1 MILLION (top prize) 500,000 250,000 125,000 75,000 50,000 (milestone) 25,000 10,000 5,000 2,000 1,000(milestone) 500 Personally, I love the 12 question format money tree because it takes away 3 simple questions and you only have to answer 2. But the values placed in some spots are not something I'm thrilled of. I would probably base the 12 question format like this $1,000,000 $500,000 $250,000 $100,000 $50,000 $25,000 (Milestone) $15,000 $10,000 $5,000 $2,500 $1,000 (Milestone) $500 That's just my personal opinion

$1,000,000 $500,000 $250,000 $100,000 $50,000 $25,000 (Milestone) $15,000 $10,000 $5,000 $2,500 $1,000 (Milestone) $500 Thing is, this brings back a problem that the UK-12 ladder fixed. On question 7 here, you're risking $14,000 to win $10,000. And even worse, on question 6, you're risking $9,000 to win $5,000. The money doesn't necessarily have to double or more each time, but you shouldn't be risking more than you stand to gain, IMO.

Origionally, Millionaire was supposed to be called Cash Mountain with 25 questions at 1 pound and the last one at $1,00,000. What if...
$1,000,000 $500,000 $250,000 $100,000 $75,000 $50,000 $40,000 $30,000 $20,000 $15,000 $10,000 $8,000 $6,000 $4,000 $2,000 $1,000 $500 $300 $200 $100 $50 $25 $10 $5 $1

Technically, Cash Mountain was gonna be 21 questions. Probably just like the classic ladder with £50/£30/£20/£10/£5/£1 in front of it. (Source on "21": ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Who_Wants_to_be_a_Millionaire%3F Scroll down to Trivia. Other formats included a 20 question set with a £5,242,880 top prize, or a £52,428,800 top prize.)
