In a move that seems as if Disney wants to completely separate or distance themselves from Millionaire as a whole:
The millionairetv.com, millionaire.dadt.com and other Millionaire sites have been removed and now redirect solely to the Disney hompages.
At least the Wayback Machine kept all versions and variants of the original site.

I think Disney should not do that, US version of millionaire is entirely different and it could be a lot of profitable to Disney and ABC, the only thing coming to my mind about reducing interest could be the ignorance of papal public, I would like to ask you one question, how is the TRP of the show in USA??  |

The ratings were once gargantuan for the prime time version, but the last several years of the syndicated version were marked by format changes and low ratings.
While the removal of the website was inevitable, it truly marks the end of an era in the US. How many of us spent hours playing the online game back in the day?

exambolor, I had forgotten about that until you mentioned it! The game was short-lived and had some hiccups, but the idea itself was ambitious for the time.

Could be it a possibility that due to changing the host to Chris Harrison, the ratings would have come down??
can USA still trust Meredith Vierra as the second and returning host for the shuffle format?

Host changes had nothing to do with declining ratings; they came down due to changes far greater than hosts. Besides Meredith’s currently hosting 25 Words or Less.

How many of us spent hours playing the online game back in the day? Back in my sixth grade class (I feel old), I got my friends and I hooked on the Millionaire online game (not the live game, the play-whenever version), and eventually the rest of my class, and then some students from other classrooms. Fun year  |

I just found out about this myself. Makes me very sad as I loved watching it on GSN. I still have Millionaire fever and I don't care what they think. Disney can go to H-E-double hockey stick. Although I still liked the original cue themes better and even the clock version remasters were quite good as well. But if Millionaire were to come back, I'd like to see it return to a more traditional manner like the original version, which means the hotseat and classic monitors. But also I didn't like how they asked so many quote on quote, internet type questions. I like real trivia, not some current trend floating around online, as questions.
As for the online game, that was MY LIFE back in 2000-2002. I didn't have my own internet connection back then but when I was in school, that's all I'd do whenever I got to school early or had free time. I was obsessed with it!
