Being a former contestant, I was privvied with some info regarding the show's status and where it's at. Per the request of my source, I cannot go any further than "...gone, but not forgotten." But, believe me...you will all be happy, when the time comes.

What was your read on your source’s level of wishful thinking? Is this something that’s going to happen with a definite date/time or just something that’s generally understood to be wanted without concrete plans in motion? Both are good news, one is just more exciting than the other.

Man, they really ARE trying to kill off Millionaire. I mean some of this is going to the extreme.

So I subscribe to Philo which has GSN and GSN was airing slightly older reruns of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire until sometime last year. If anyone is looking for a great streaming service that's very reasonable, Philo is awesome at only $20 a month and has mostly everything the majority of people are looking for minus sports channels and locals.

Anyone, one of the other awesome things about Philo is the unlimited DVR which you can save shows and it'll save any and all broadcasts of them for 30 days. Kind of cool and annoying at the same time since I like to watch certain things more than once after 30 days but repeats will automatically reset the 30 day timer.

Anyway, Millionaire was one of those things that I had saved to the DVR since I loved watching it and I'm always tired after work so I'd come home and take a nap, effectively sleeping through the showing at 3PM. However, it had disappeared from the list. My mother has a habit of pushing buttons when she doesn't know what is going on with something and things have a way of appearing or disappearing so I figured maybe she just accidentally unsaved it.

So I go under the search category and start typing in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, I only got to the "Be" part of the title and it came up with no search results found. I certainly had it spelled right since I tripled checked it. It has been completely wiped from existence on Philo. At least programs that would be aired on the service would say no future air dates available if nothing was upcoming for that show at the time but this has just been ousted like it never existed.

Just for fun, I searched on the home search page of my Roku for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and nothing comes up there either. Slumdog Millionaire is about the only thing you're going to find listed. It's almost as though they want to completely get rid of it for some reason. GSN never even showed the newer incarnations of Millionaire since I never saw Divvy until a few weeks ago when I watched it on his channel (LOVED your Reege impersonation, I was laughing like crazy because it was so good and funny!) and even then, I was shocked to see that they had changed the question box graphics and whatnot. It looked cool for a new quiz show but it was HORRIBLE because it wasn't Millionaire at all. At least they should've kept the standard question skeleton and just updated the colors or refined it a bit. And I'm still with Regisfan here, the 2nd tier question cues are the laziest excuse for question cues I've ever heard in my life although I was somewhat fond of the 1st tier early questions cue.

But anyway, I don't know why they're erasing Millionaire from everywhere but it's just sort of sad to see it going away bit by bit. But I'm still highly looking forward to the primetime return in April. It just can't come fast enough!
