Hello, everyone! Since my waiting-period of 60 days has passed, I thought I'd give it a try and post my first audition for the Fan Games Section. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone of you for supporting and helping me around the time I've been in the community. You've helped me getting further into becoming a true member in the forum - and I'm very grateful for that. I'd like to gain access to the Fan Games Section, since I'm not only curious to know how to act here, but also to contribute more with new ideas. I've really enjoyed participating in the RPG, contribute more to the discussions about Millionaire and share some ideas in the threads. It has been really interesting to meet more people in the forum and get to know them better. If I should be accepted into the Fan Games Section, I promise that I WILL NOT distribute any material here to anyone. If I want to use any of it for my videos or for anything else, I'm going to ask the creator for permission first and THEN use it with giving credit. I'd certainly appreciate your votes and I hope to learn from them. Thank you for taking the time to read my audition! - M64P

I notice that you have given quite a bit for us to discuss on this forum lately. While most of us are appreciative of that, there are a few things that concern me just a little regarding your audition: 1) Yes, you have been a registered user for a good year and a half, but your first post was exactly two months prior to your audition. This gives me the impression that there’s some desperation to get into the Fan Games section, which is not exactly the way you should be approaching the audition process. 2) Nearly all the new threads you’ve opened have been in the last month alone. Again, this screams desperado, at least in my mind. 3) And this might just be a nitpick, but... I'm not only curious to know how to act here. Have you read the rules? They tell you everything you need to know. On the other hand, as far as I know, you haven’t broken any site rules, and you are definitely showing some promise as a reputable member. That said, your overall activity on this site probably qualifies for giving you a definitive reputation in the community, but I would highly encourage you to stick around a while longer and contribute just a little more. Until then, I’m going to refrain from voting in this case and see what other people think.

It seems you're not the only one struggling to make a decision, Peachfanclub. This is certainly one of the more difficult auditions I've considered. I have said this before, but auditions posted on the 61st day of someone being an active member really don't tend to get me on side. That being said, you have contributed a fair bit to the forum in this time. But, like Peachfanclub, I do share the slightest concern in that these have all been within the past month-or-so. You seem very, very keen to start discussions, but often they don't get particularly far off of the ground. As with most auditions, trustworthiness is a slight issue for me. Personally, I'm not sure if we've seen enough of you to judge your trustworthiness. With all that being said, you do seem like a true Millionaire fan. I like how you want to start discussion with us all about various things to do with the show, and you do seem to have a true fondness for it. In some past auditions similar to yours, it's seemed as if Fan Games is the only thing people come here for, but I don't think this is the case with you. Can you see why I'm struggling? This really is a close call, but I do think it'll come down to the time you've been active here. Yes, 60 days is the minimum amount of time before you can audition, but a better amount is normally a bit more than this, depending on your activity. Therefore, although it is with some regret, I think I will edge towards a no this time around. I really just don't think you've been here for long enough for me to consider you completely trustworthy, although the foundations are certainly there. You seem like a good guy, and there's no doubt you're a Millionaire fan, so in my opinion, this audition was an issue of timing more than anything else. I would suggest to continue to start discussions, and let us get to know you a little more. You've already done one RPG, and as the host of that, I'd like to say you were a great contestant to host. RPGs are a good way of us getting to know you better, but overdo them and you risk getting nos that way. As I said, this was a really close call for me. I know that a negative vote invalidates the audition, but, if I can see that there is a majority of members who disagree with me, I will change my vote to a yes. I think that I'm allowed to do this, but I will say no for now, but I'd certainly like some other members to speak their minds on this, as personally, I'm in two of them at the minute. Should the overall decision be a no, I encourage you to stay here and keep doing most of what you're doing now. You haven't done anything wrong, so keep that up, and your second audition should be a breeze. MLUK

While you have indeed provided actual content in the past two months you've been active here, as opposed to simply spamming Daily Millionaire and/or RPG posts like many others who've sought entrance into the Fan Games area, some of that content feels a bit - eh, what's the word? "Fillery", perhaps. As in, a thread opened not to explore a genuinely interesting question, but simply to have asked a question in the first place; like you've "forced" it. The perhaps biggest example of this would be your Why are there different titles of the international formats? thread, which doesn't seem like that much of a thought-provoking question to me -- not everyone in the world speaks English, and with you being German, you'd probably realize how having Jauch present "Who wants to be a Millionaire" instead of "Wer wird Millionär" on RTL every Monday would perhaps be a tad weird. Another thread, How come the top prize increased to $2 MILLION on Primetime?, could've been avoided altogether with a little bit of research - the Jackpot rule is covered on Wikipedia, which would probably be the first place to go when trying to find out stuff like this. It's clear you've put a lot of effort into being a productive member of this community, and that's always appreciated. That said, I do share Peachfanclub's reservations, most notably 1) and 2). I'm also always wary of people with WWTBAM-related YouTube channels, as you stated you have in your first post here, since it's happened more than once that content from the Fan Games section got leaked to exactly that. You did mention you're going to always ask permission first, so that quells my concerns a little bit, but I still can't really get a read on whether you're truly trustworthy or not. I find myself in the same situation as Peachfanclub and millionaireloveruk, in that I don't really have a dealbreaker, hard-hitting and undeniable reason for voting No, but am not 100% comfortable with voting Yes either. To put it another way: While I definitely don't have a reason not to trust you, your contributions - up to this point - haven't really given me a reason to do trust you, either. So, sorry. Edging towards a No, as well - mainly because of reasons 1) and 2) that Peachfanclub already elaborated on. You seem just a little trigger-happy with your audition. Don't let this discourage you, though. There have been tons of unsuccessful auditions throughout the years, and while yours might join their ranks, it's probably the most promising one there's ever been here. Consider all the "trash" auditions that were obviously never going to get in "$0 winners" - people who failed at the very first hurdle. Consider yourself, however, a $25,000 winner. You've made it quite far, you were a promising contestant, but just failed to catch that final hurdle that would've solidified the community's full and unwavering trust in you. And while you may not be allowed to take the hot seat on Millionaire a second time, you are very much allowed to go for another audition soon. Have just a little bit more patience, and keep up your contributions. I'm certain that, were you to wait for a while and then go for a second audition, a lot more people would be willing to give you a Yes. This just seems a little bit too premature to me.

I want to remind everyone that if you choose to become involved with voting for auditions, you need to put your vote in, not "wait to see what others say," just a yes or no. Thanks.
@mario64play, unless you have anything else to add, we'll lock this up.
