I am deeply disgusted!

I am very disappointed by the replies in the ShoutBox.

It's one thing to express regret that something is not offered to you, but its another thing to flame and troll the victim about it. I'm seeing a ton of it here and it STOPS RIGHT NOW!

I'm sick of all the fighting that's been going on the past few days, so I'm giving you one absolutely last final chance: either leave LuckyClover alone, or I quit! I mean it this time!

Frank, if this is the way you're thinking, then you've got a problem man. The whole point of 20... now 30 post rule is that only people who contribute to the board can get the files! We're trying to get rid of all the dum-dums or rude people who want to take the game and run, then probably present it as their own work. Duh.

My problem is his attitude he's had since he's showed up. Like we owed him something. Now he's demanding we either close the shoutbox or deal with his idiocy, but I say neither.

I would've said "Leave each other alone" - but the ShoutBox is gone now anyway. Just please - we've got to get along, one way or another... that's all I ask. Please.

Frank, it's one thing to be nice to people who are trying to be nice in return. This wasn't like other incidents on our site, in which the offender was, for the most part, either ignorant of his crime or willing to work with the community to improve or atone for his behavior. This was someone who basically came onto the site and demanded that we give him files, files that we, as a community, have agreed need to be kept securely away from visitors who have not proven themselves to be trustworthy due to arrangements with both game creators and Matthew Strachan. When we did not agree to hand over these things to him, he started attacking all of us and calling us losers. Once we banned him, he came back and attacked us again. And again. And again. So, we simply have to find a way to keep him quiet, and that's by replacing the old Shout Box with a new one that requires login names and passwords.

This is not the same scenario as in the past. This was a troll, someone who deliberately came here to harass us. It's one thing to be rude to people who really did not mean to cause trouble (such as people who unknowingly present others' work as part of their own fan game) by demanding that they leave and insulting their integrity. It's another matter entirely to protect the site from people who are out to hurt site members, like this guy. I sincerely hope that you understand how this situation is different.

I do now. I've been mulling it over, and granted, while he was upset, he should not have done what he did. It really was silly of me, what I said - I will not leave after all. Please forgive me for all my misunderstandings.
