quick update: italian Millionaire is going to be replaced by 1vs100 in May. The promo/teaser was aired today.

From 7th May the Millionaire will give way to 1vs100 hosted by Amadeus and it's probably going to stay on until June.
Will the Millionaire come back next year? who knows. Probably only if Gerry Scotti will be hosting it.

UPDATE: Gerry Scotti announced the return of WWTBAM for the next season. This season will end today (Sunday) and Monday will mark the begin of 1vs100.

Gerry said it in yesterday's episode. He has just a few episodes of his saturday show "La Corrida" left to host before taking a well deserved vacation off the screen.
TV seasons here begin somewhere between September and October, but this time it all depends on how well 1vs100 does.

Thank you for the excellent news!!! BTW, I thinked the final show of the season will the Special edition but as one of contestants on yesterday's show moved to today's show we won't see the Special episode:(

celetheref, did you watch how the final contestant played? I didn't understand what Gerry said after the final siren but I think she (the contestant) will have to continue playing after "La corrida" or other program?

The current contestant will resume her game in the next season.
An increasing number of people is asking for some old gameshows to return and Gerry told he is interested in hosting something in daytime.
