Perhaps an unusual topic to be interested in, but I always found it curious. On the UK show, they use foil confetti that falls very quickly and loudly. For the most recent US win, the confetti was shot out of two cannons at floor level, and also fell quite quickly. During the Regis and Meredith runs, they achieve a much slower fall with the confetti. Much of it lingers in the air, and some of it even seems to fall upward at times. It's almost a Times Square New Years effect. How did they achieve this? A lighter paper? Air conditioning? Is it the difference between the positioning of the cannons? youtu.be/B2DU4U7rba4#t=4m57syoutu.be/4Hgbe-YN11o#t=1m35s

Interesting. Also in some versions (e.g. Denmark, Sri Lanka, US 2024), but not UK or original US, you can actually hear the confetti cannons make a "bang" sound, but in others it's silent.
