Hell, I'd put her up there with Anne Robinson! FYI, the original ran between 2002 and 2006 on the same channel as the first incarnation of the Serbian version of Millionaire. It was actually more similar to the US version in that it ran once weekly and had a very large potential top prize of 5000000 RSD, which was the largest top prize offered on a game show in Serbia up to that point (Milioner only offered 3000000 RSD during this time period). So far, it's pretty decent overall. -Graphics are the new UK graphics -Music is OG, including the intro -Studio looks like the Dutch reboot but with new podiums Regarding Nikola Kojo being the host, he's decent overall. Kinda stilted at times, but I feel he's gonna improve as the weeks go on. Looks like it's going to be a Romesh situation where the new host is told to host in a different manner from the old host. Sandra was really great at doing her own spin on the Anne Robinson "old and mean" shtick back in the day, and I'm personally more of a fan of that style. Nikola seems to do this kinda-mean-but-not-really thing, where he openly quips jokes with the contestants at one point yet does the classic round-end-berating. 7/10.

I agree, it's a pretty good version in general! The set looks nice, and I like the idea of adding the modern screens to the rather classic contestants' podiums. Just two things that could be better in my opinion: Speaking of graphics, the disc graphics are actually the old ones used in the first 10 to 17 years of the format! Only the font is from the current UK ones. But personally, I think the old graphics don't really work well with the rather modern set design and logo.   Here's a comparison between the classic UK graphics, the Serbian graphics and the two UK revival graphicsIt's just that the contrast between old and modern elements is a bit too big... That would be like having the current UK version go back to the 2000s graphics. It's just two different styles. Another thing that's a bit annoying is that the timer music (which is longer than the max. 3 minutes) is cut off with the jingle whenever the time is up -- normally, there would be individual tracks with a different length for each round with a 'smooth' ending, so to say. But other than that, it's a good version! |

But other than that, it's a good version! Yeah, saw the graphics actually differed quite a bit in the UK revival. Odd that the production decided to tack on the reboot font onto the old coin graphics - but, truth to be told, the Serbian version never used a bolded font for that (check the old episode I posted in the OP). And agree on the music - the transition just doesn't work well, and it cuts off suddenly. Forgot to mention that. Anyways, I think some of those kinks will probably be worked out in the future. |

No investment whatsoever. Quips that should've come off as brash and arrogant, as a ...Link host should be, come off as docile. Toothless. Giving him another chance next week and if he stays like this, then I'm likely done. Aside from that, the sound mixing issues persist - the round end music still cuts off way too early.
