There is still some life left in Jimmy Kimmel’s Millionaire reboot at ABC, though not necessarily in the form you’re expecting! ABC has started a 24/7 streaming channel that exclusively plays Kimmel’s run of WWTBAM on a loop. This is a great way to rewatch these episodes and show ABC that you’re excited to reengage with the show (and are hungry for new content). Let’s hope the channel is expanded to classic prime time and syndicated episodes in the future. And if we are really lucky, perhaps this is a prelude to WWTBAM content on Disney+ someday.

Sounds like a cool idea. I've not heard anything dedicated like this being done for a quiz show before, other than on Challenge TV over here they sometimes run one-off days to play re-runs of game shows. There was an example of this for Millionaire a few years ago, along with Bullseye too I remember. Due to regional restrictions, the ABC 24/7 streaming isn't available for those like me outside the United States unfortunately. Upon viewing the page it displays a blank page with an error message. If only it could be opened up to a global audience, since Millionaire very much is recognised around the world in the various iterations. Alas, we know how TV rights are often governed...

Well, the channel just got removed. It's a shame, but maybe having a channel solely for a version consisting of twenty-five episodes wasn't such a good idea. Then again, they could add the episodes to the Fun & Games channel. Regardless, I would love to see Regis and Meredith episodes show up somewhere, similar to Wheel and Jeopardy! on Pluto.

That was short-lived! I agree that it would make sense to show these episodes on the Fun & Games channel.
This was either a test or the fulfillment of some contractual obligations.

Last I read Millionaire wasn’t canceled, but the future was unknown. Is it still the same or have they announced official cancellation? They should make a WWTBAM channel on Pluto TV, there’s plenty of episodes.

They should make a WWTBAM channel on Pluto TV, there’s plenty of episodes. It was deemed as ‘parked’ in January 2022. deadline.com/2022/01/pooch-perfect-canceled-abc-who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire-parked-1234915782/amp/Meanwhile, the @millionairetv account sent out a few tweets in May 2022 and Michael Davies on Twitter said to someone, ‘You have no idea how hilarious this is’ in response to someone believing the show was canceled. I sure do miss the game we all love and really hope I can sit in the chair sometime in my life.

I think “parked” is as close as ABC will get to declaring the show cancelled given the terms of their deal with Sony. ABC has to produce some version of the show every few years or risks losing the rights to Sony. It’s only a matter of time.

The Oscars ratings came back very bad. Millionaire ratings were just ok. Maybe they picked the wrong host…he is a bit controversial and him hosting probably influenced some peoples decision to tune out. Then the final answer change was just terrible.
I think US Millionaire has really struggled to find a suitable host since Meredith. Chris was ok, but something was still missing. I do wish they could find someone funny and witty like Clarkson. He is so good.

I think US Millionaire has really struggled to find a suitable host since Meredith. Chris was ok, but something was still missing. I do wish they could find someone funny and witty like Clarkson. He is so good. And yet, strangely enough, Oscar ratings actually increased from last year. Television ratings as a whole have been declining, especially since streaming services are changing everything. I do know Jimmy had good general knowledge, but I’m not sure how he can be considered controversial as if Jeremy isn’t, and I’m sure plenty of Americans are aware of who Jeremy is. The column on Meghan has had him in the news for months and a shadow of doubt casted over his future with the show. When’s the last time Jimmy had that kind of controversy? Then again, I saw people on Twitter accuse him of being a pedophile, unsubstantiated, of course. I’ve liked both Jimmy and Jeremy as hosts, but controversy has followed both men during their careers.
