Nope this title isnt a clickbait. RTL put on a strong week from Jan 03, 2022 to Jan 06, 2022. 4 Episodes, each and every one of them beeing a part of this special. During the first 3 episodes (monday-wednesday) contestants can qualify for the finale (thursday) by playing the usual game and winning at least 16.000€ or more. So they have to give at least 10 correct answers. However they further they go, the more comfortable the finale will be for em. They can chosse as usually between classic format (3 Lifelines / 2 Safetynets: Q5, Q10) or Risk Mode (4 Lifelines / 1 Safetynet at Q5). If you were to drop down to 500€ even though you've been past 16.000€, you wont be in Thursdays episode. Also since we're back to COVID-19 style, the 4th lifelines is once again "Ask One Of The Former Contestants" instead of the regular "Ask One Of The Audience". As you can see down in the teaser/opening sequence, there are 18 contestants with their total winning signs And in the finale episode they will then get an offer based on their first total winnings to compete one more time against a 3 million-euro moneytree. Every amount in that moneytree is roughly doubled. However only by answering Q15 you will be a triple-millionaire on the show. Q14 only gives you 900.000€. Those who qualify get this sign to their fastest-finger-first seat in the episode The teaser can be found here: And here's the opening titles: and the promos of RTL themself on Twitter: twitter.com/RTL_com/status/1478044483400855554 twitter.com/RTL_com/status/1478326340512370688 twitter.com/RTL_com/status/1478432540214104066

It’s so great that they’re offering a €3M top prize (even higher than their Gamblers’ Special)! However, €900K seems like such a strange amount. Perhaps €750K would be better

Perhaps €750K would be better At least it wasn't their 1,500th episode special with amounts of €555, €1,111 and €8,888! The €900,000 amount reminds me of the Chowrownaatihown money tree by Custard Maersk which had an amount of 2,900 dollops.

While the episode is still airing, i can tell a few things that make this even more interesting..
1) The Finalists get selected from highest total winnings to smallest. Over the course of the 3 qualifying episodes we had 16.000€ x4 32.000€ x1 64.000€ x1 125.000€ x1 500.000€ 1x
So 8 finalists in total.
2) When they go Jauch they get offered a guaranteed value based on their total winnings. The guy who won 500.000€ and already saw the million euro question got an offer of a guaranteed 150.000€. He declined it due to the fact that the only way he would get past his previous winnings is to answer a total of 14 questions once again!
The woman who had 125.000€ first got 30.000€, she pokered to 50.000€ and Jauch agreed on 40.000€ So she played the finale.
3) When entering the Hot Seat for the finale, you have to play the Risk Version among the 3 million euro moneytree. Now this is where things get interesting. Have a guarantee of 40.000€ and a Safetynet at Q5 of 1.000€ youre pretty much guaranteed to walk away with 41.000€
4) When walking away you get your total winnings of the finale game + the guarantee. She gave up 125.000€, accepted 40.000€ and went away on the 900.000€ Question with a total winnings of 290.000€ (250k + 40k)
Another guy had 32.000€ earned in the qualifying game, got 7.000€ guaranteed, played the game and walked away with a grand total of 257.000€ (250k + 7k)
5) When the equally worth finalists of 16.000€ got to play, the played a classic fastest finger first between the 4 of them. The fastest person to put 4 answers into the correct order then was then next to get an offer and if accepted a chance in the hot seat for 3 million euro. Also the offer for all of the 16.000€ winners was 5.000€
The finale ended with 290.000€ (250k+40k) 257.000€ (250k+7k) 6.000€ (1k+5k) 55.000€ (50k+5k)
And counting those who didnt get to play 500.000€ (declined offer) 64.000€ (declined offer) 16.000€ (didnt get to play) 16.000€ (didnt get to play)
so a grand total of 1.204.000€ has been given away from Monday to Thursday! and a few people dropped to 500€ when qualifying.

Just seen the ratings for Die €3,000,000 Woche, and it hasn't actually done that badly. At least according to RTL, it averaged almost 5 million viewers, and an audience share of 19.5%. Millionaire, unlike with most countries, in Germany seems to be RTL's way to connect with the 14-49 demographic, traditionally a demographic advertisers want to target, and it worked a treat, being the No. 1 in the ratings in that demographic.

Millionaire, unlike with most countries, in Germany seems to be RTL's way to connect with the 14-49 demographic, traditionally a demographic advertisers want to target, and it worked a treat, being the No. 1 in the ratings in that demographic. That’s only for the finale. The three qualification episodes had less viewers, so it managed to build up viewers, if anything. As for the 14-49 demographic, I suggest doing some research on other versions, like the UK, for example. The ratings for the qualification episodes are as follows: Monday - 4.07m/980k (13.3%/12.9%) Tuesday - 3.43m/730k (12.9%/11.5%) Wednesday - 4.07m/970k (15.3%/15.6%) These ratings (not including Tuesday) are above WWM’s average, so if anything, the fact that this was a special event week helped them get more viewers, otherwise all the episodes would’ve been in the 3.0-3.7m range.

The Special Event-Week returns August 1st to 4thAfter hearing about 4 scheduled tapings late June, 4 days in a row, all beeing a special and the 4th one beeing "extended", its true! Once again 3 nights with a strong competition to get furthest up the moneytree and then a finale on night 4 where they can take a guaranteed offer based on the total winnings in order to play for ultimate jackpot of 3-MILLION-EURO. www.prisma.de/tv-programm/Wer-wird-Millionaer-Die-3-Millionen-Euro-Woche,40397109 (the number after the comma belongs to the link.. bad formatting here)

These 4 episodes were really okay compared with the other programs running. But.. one actually stood out quiet a lot! Episode 1: --> Total: 3.17million viewers / 13,9% share --> TargetGroup: Episode 2: --> Total: 2.83million viewers / 13,7% share --> TargetGroup: 0.55million viewers / 12,0% share Episode 3: --> Total: 3.23million viewers / 16,1% share --> TargetGroup: 0.61million viewers / 15,2% share Episode 4: --> Total: 4.21million viewers / 20,9% share --> TargetGroup: 0.91million viewers / 21,6% share (BEST SHARES SINCE 2016!) Also for those interested, here are the opening titles of the finale on thursday. I wanted to cut out the contestant introduction for those who wanna watch the full VODs.

Ooooh... lovely! RTL will be very pleased with ratings like those! I didn't expect the show to do as well as the previous series but somehow it's gone one better.
21.6% share in the target demographic is exactly the kind of figures that RTL want to give prospective advertisers and from a business perspective Die 3-Millionen Euro Woche is far more of an asset than something that ruins the normal format.
Onwards and upwards! Third series soon please, RTL!
