Hello! I've been trying to upload a GIF for my profile for a few days now and the maximum file size has to be 1mb. I've been attempting to get my gif down to that size but I can't find a site/program to do so. If I could get some help on how to do this that would be great! Or if I can only upload images, just let me know!

Hello! Have you considered uploading your GIF to Imgur and linking to it in your profile instead of uploading it? That should help you to circumvent the file size limitation.

So, I went ahead and uploaded to Imgur, I tried copying the link for my profile pic but every link Imgur gave me was not valid. Is that how I would link it or is there another way?

You'll need to use a direct link to the image. Right-clicking the image and opening it in a new tab should get you a direct link. If Imgur isn't cooperating, there are other options such as ImgBB and Flickr. Alternatively, EZGIF is a great site for converting videos to .gif files and controlling their file size. |
