According to this tweet, a new Millionaire game is being published by Microids. It will launch on October 29th in Europe and November 17th in the USA for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. |

The full line-up is shown in the line-up for the fourth quarter of 2020. It says here that players "try to answer the 15 questions, wisely using the four valuable lifelines: 50:50, Phone a friend, Ask the Audience and the Switch." I think I would buy that game when it released on the Playstation Store come November 18th (November 17th US Time). |

The multiplayer modes actually sound intriguing, especially the cooperative one. That’s a first!
Has anyone heard of the developer, Appeal Studios?

Microids and Appeal Studios have produced the last "Fort Boyard" video games, out in 2019 and 2020. Due to its lack of challenges (around 15 games in the first edition, and 10 more in the 2020 one) and its poor design quality, it was not a success.
For fans like me that have paid the first edition, no add-on has been proposed to upgrade to version 2020 : you have to pay again 39 €...

I'm sure I'l have a field day going through the files haha. It's great to see a game still being made tho and I'm looking forward to it. Multiplayer will probably be some clock against friends ect or competing for top prices, I am curious if we'll have multiple formats and what not. I'd imagine it's Classic style considering both "Reboots" but I can't imagine it without some inbuilt studio and what not. Hopefully multiple formats will be in the game. -- Edit Has some shots of the game in here. www.microids.com/microids-unveils-its-q4-2020-line-up/ looks like a french style 2014 set I'l attach one image but for the rest of it just visit the site. Tbh... I'm a bit disappointed by the game.
I expected the UK/US set to be used but seeing the French set surprised me.
+ I did not expect the US graphics.
But I'll still give it a try, it looks better than the Special Editions game.

Not sure what to think about this... From the style i can already tell that this is again an Unreal Engine 4 game. I recognize these spotlights from the 1st game... The graphics are of course 20th Anniversary standard (Olga van den Brandt) as well as the US Logo in the same style... i'm not really sure what to think about this... just judging by the design there... i expected much more than just a clone with a "better" studio .... even though its france with some more or less additions And so far its an even cheaper looking moneytree (wrong font, lifeline size)... Why didnt they ask me to do this game for them xDD   |

And why are the dollar signs placed after the values? They’re placed before. At least they’re using the correct font on the lozenges though.

It’s not horrendous, but it amazes me that they were able to get this right 20 years ago and then NEVER again.

I regularly still play the British 2000 Millionaire DVD game and back then they could get it right. I've got a few problems with this: - The set - why use the French set?
- The money tree design looks incredibly cheap. The dollar sign placement is also a little strange.
- Switch the Question is NOT a good lifeline. No need for it. Take it out.
That said, however, a return to the 1998 Conduit font is very welcome.

I predict that it will be $9.99 because if it goes above $15, I have to wait a little longer. I want to see some downloadable content WITHOUT paying because I agree with boyardman on this that a user has to pay almost P2,200 for the "Fort Boyard" game and another if a player wants updates. I also agree with Toohak113 that the developers must put the dollar sign placement AFTER the amount and the US release should conform with the current US set. |

The publisher is French... I'm pretty sure that's why they used the French set + they're also making an exclusive French version.
Am I disappointed? Yes.
Am I gonna buy the game? Absolutely.
I think we all wish they used the UK/US set but I don't see it happening.

Maybe if the game has a modding ability on PC, we could change the set, the graphics, etc.
