The shuffle version of Millionaire and its music! The Shuffle format is definitely the most hated format for WWTBAM in the U.S. They got rid of the hot seat, suspense, atmosphere, and the music changed dramatically! This time, it was not made by Keith and Matthew Strachan, instead it was composed by Jeff Lippencott and Mark T. Williams.
For me, I have mixed feelings on the music. On one side, I enjoy it since it brings a new theme but keeping a little reminiscent of the original and also fits the new atmosphere. On the contrary, I hate it due to the music being light and "heavenly" and not dark and suspenseful like the original.
What does everyone else think of the Shuffle music?

I don't have any problem with the Shuffle music. In fact, the main theme gives me goosebumps. It just sounds too generic and doesn't fit the show. The fact that it lasted for too long despite heavy criticism, however, gets me impressed.

hadouken85, you made me laugh out loud with that last comment. The Shuffle soundtrack is a cheap knock off, unfortunately. The “Round 1” question music is the laziest game show cue of all time.

I hated the shuffle format and its music just doesn't feel like your at Millionaire and at some Disney knockoff quiz game show i just glad that Disney doesn't own the rights to the show as a whole anymore

Most of the cues were decent on their own, just not quite fit for a show like Millionaire. The worst part is the Round 1 bed (Q6-10 music), however, as it’s literally just eight notes repeated over and over with the sound of table-pounding. That it lasted literally the better part of the syndicated version’s run is shocking.

The shuffle music is just fine, it's just not Millionaire. It would have fit just fine on another show.

The Shuffle music (and by extension the Harrison faux-classic music) is pretty good listening, especially what were (in the Harrison version) the Q6-10 themes. They're great to put in the background if I'm just doing something that is 'busy work'.
They are not, however, good Millionaire. They just do not fit the atmosphere of the show, that tense, stressful, almost foreboding feel.

The Round 2 question music did have some tension and I was more into those but it doesn’t beat the classic cues.

I remember saying this about the Shuffle music, but in my opinion, I thought they were well-composed and somewhat catchy, but they were certainly NOT for Millionaire. If the cues were to be used in another game show, it would've worked out much better. By then, Millionaire had it's own identity, it had iconic music that is familiar with almost every household.
Millionaire is meant to be very suspenseful, so their cues really didn't work. I wish they used the music for a more light-hearted quiz show, since they aren't bad, it would've worked out better.
