Yes, I finally got the games I wanted - the Millionaire pub quiz games! Now, please contain your excitement as I guide you through the first Millionaire quiz from JPM...
The menu screen. You insert 50p for each game you play, and press the 'Start' button to get the game going. First, though, you can press the 'Rules' button, which'll give you a brief overview of the game.
The rules (just like I said above).
The intro scene, containing: the host himself! Yes, Chris Tarrant is on the scene (as per usual) to see you through to the cash prize.
Chris goes through the first bit to start off with. Now, please note that the cash money ladder changes every time you start up the game! Isn't that exciting?!?!
Now THAT'S more like it!!
The Fastest Finger round. This is the most difficult bit since you need to get it completely right to gain your lifelines. Also, you must beware - as you time runs out, your lifelines disappear..!
Starting the game, with no lifelines and the money too far up above....
The question screen. As you can see, you're playing a timed game, with a fast-ticking clock, so you need to think fast (as per usual in the pub game biz!)!
Excellent, five down - ten to go!
(Note that the above hexagon graphic has flashing text, hence said text's absence here)
The Ask the Audience lifeline. The bars jig up and down here, while the game gets the results.
Ask a friend - literally! You'll need someone behind you for this one to work - the main clock stops whilst the friend picks the answer for you! But the friend is also timed...
The 50:50 (self-explanatory).
Sometimes Chris will chime in and ask "Is that your final answer?" when you pick an answer. Think of it as a chance to reconsider.
Yay, a quid! So, now you need to ask yourself - take the money and leave now, or keep going? (Note that you can always collect it while in the question also)
Double Dip?! Sometimes you get to give the question another answer if you get it wrong the first time. It depends if you're lucky.
Darn, I was close to winning a pound! Anyway, if you do get it wrong, you see this screen...
... and you are seen off the game with a simple 'Game over'.
So, that's the Millionaire game, but I'm not finished!! Coming up next, it's the 2006 edition!
