When a contestant in Super Millionaire managed to answer the $100,000 question correctly and receive the special lifeline "Three Wise Men", Regis would introduce the special three experts which would be meant to help the contestant. Some of them (usually one of the three) would even be former contestants of WWTBAM who have gotten quite far and possibly won the top prize of $1 MILLION, such as John Carpenter, who appeared in the second episode of the show, and Nancy Christy, who was one of the experts in the first and the final episode.
Now, I would indeed like to discuss this topic with you and take a closer look at it: Do you think that they were more beneficial for both the contestant and the lifeline "Three Wise Men", since they had been contestants in WWTBAM before? And would you personally have liked to see them play as contestants in Super Millionaire?

Those guys were ineligible as Super Millionaire contestants because they were already on the show.
As far as a trend in helping actual contestants goes, every Wise Man had his or her own strengths and weak spots, so it’d probably depend on the kind of question they got. We saw all sorts of results from the different Wise Men, from coming to the right answer on low confidence to agreeing on a wrong answer with high confidence. The biggest thing to note is that in every panel, there was exactly one former WWTBAM contestant (specifically a big winner of course) and that to me is as fair as you can get when catering to all contestants.

That's a really good point. I do believe that they were rather meant to support the contestant in being able to strategically answer the question (for example choosing the most relateable answer depending on the difficulty of the question), or maybe they were supposed to contribute to the 30-second discussion that the experts would receive to help the contestant, as in suggesting their own pick for the most suitable answer. But there is still one thing I would like to add : Do you consider it possible that their own experiences with Millionaire could have give them a bit of an advantage in order to help the contestants?
