"VILTU VINNA MILLJON" was stopped 2 years after this first broadcast following bad audience occurred, only 2 millionaires were on this version, Unfortunately it was not until 2004 that the program did not come back that it was only 1 year, and without knowing it had made a fall of hearing from 2004 to 2005, I do not have more information on this version... Thanks You !

I know, you just pointed out the fact that the Icelandic version had only 2 top prize winners in 3 years, and I pointed out that the hungarians only had one in 9 years.

According to the Millionaire wiki, apparently Iceland had three instances of the top prize being claimed. Two civilians won it, and once in 2004, a team of two people claimed it on a charity session.
This was the first person who won it. Iceland is another country in which the series was different. I've never seen the host get out of his chair during a question, much less the final one. Also, I've never seen them show the money tree during the question. I guess each county has/had its own quirks.
I do not know why they stopped in 2005. Obviously, if I see anything, I will certainly let you know.

Well it's time to dust off this thread, (even if it's been 4 years) in view of the comments and more particularly the friend who created the page, so I'm going to refresh this thread properly. Already Nono sorry to tell you that but uhh... Do you have proof that this version stopped in 2002 and came back in 2004? If you don't have it, neither do I because it's simply not true. I don't know why you said that but your information is biased. On March 30, 2003 exactly one year after Sveinn Valgeirsson won the 5,000,000 KR, we had a second winner by the name of Paolo Turchi who won the same prize but in 2003. This same year, Þorsteinn J. was replaced by Jónasar R., and it was good in 2003: moreover it is surprising, a Frenchman who shows us the Icelandic version in 2003. The website link is here: icelandimagebank.free.fr/Hafnarfjordur/87.htmOtherwise the reason for stopping this game show is unknown and I would like to know why?? That said during the start of confinement in 2020, the Stöð 2 channel aired a show called "Nostalgía" and in episode 2 of this show, well they talked about "Viltu vinna milljón?" and I send you the link to see the trailer: www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2579189785633342On the other hand, I would like to find this episode to see excerpts from "Viltu vinna milljón?" So that's what I have to say for now. I'll probably know a little more, if I can find something on the Icelandic version. Otherwise why do I care so much, simply because it's one of my favorite versions for me. Already because there is the 1998 intro, the set is beautiful from the time (it is rare that there is turquoise blue on the input symbols) and also the first animator of the time who is Þorsteinn J. Vilhjálmsson . That's it for now and this will be my last word ;-)

There is no rule prohibiting a moderator from standing up during a question. Besides, the appearance of the tree of prizes, it's not strange, in the Portuguese there was that, even in the Dutch version. So for me this Icelandic version is correct.

omran.dk.dk I appreciate the thoughtful post so your post does not break the dead thread rule. Thanks for not having a one liner! In the future, however, please don't double post. Thanks!

Ok, but if I understood correctly, apart from the fact that I posted the second article, I have no problem refreshing this page? Obviously with concrete arguments in support.

No issues bumping the dead thread, correct We just don't want people double posting because it raises post counts and people have abused the double posting in the past when they try to skyrocket their post count for a Fan Games application. While I don't think that's what you're doing here, we just want the same from everybody. In the future, if you have additional info to add, just use the "Edit" button and add your info if nobody else has replied yet. Otherwise, if it's been a while and, for instance, you were the last person to post in a given thread but you have something new to add, that's one situation where double posting is acceptable. If you have any more questions, feel free to shoot me a PM!
