The ITV trailer already confirmed a May 5th start date in the video description: Now I have two things to be excited for - the rebirth of the show that started it all, and two days later, my own tenure as a potential contestant on the German program (...provided I beat the FFF round)! Exciting times. Can't wait to check it out.

Hi all! As I mentioned before I am heading to a taping, and I will do everything I can to get some set pics for everyone. My question is, and forgive me if this is something that can't be discussed. I live in the US currently and obviously it won't be possible for me to watch the broadcasts of the show when they happen. Does anyone have access and plan on posting the episodes anywhere? OR is there a way I can stream them as they broadcast or shortly after? Thanks in advance for any leads.

Not sure other ways can really be discussed here but a VPN along the lines of www.purevpn.com/ with which you can access www.itv.com/hub/itv - you'll be able to watch it live as well as catchups after the show

So I’m not sure how believable this is, thanks to the source, and I’m not sure I can even say this, so if I can’t, forgive me mods, but here’s the thing... {Spoiler Tag, Just to Be Safe} Someone won the million. Yep, someone went on the show and answered all fifteen questions correctly....but it didn’t count since he was a stand-in for rehearsal. Yep, it’s a sad, sad day when you get so close to the first top prize winner in nearly twelve years, and it doesn’t count. He did get something, though, he won £80, and is considering applying to be a real contestant if he has the chance to see how far he’ll go, so it isn’t a complete loss. metro.co.uk/2018/04/29/contestant-wins-1million-wants-millionaire-prize-doesnt-get-penny-7508502/

He was just there for the rehearsal and his partner works for Millionaire. So he did not have the expectation that he would be able to take home the top prize, or any prize for that matter.
This is a great way to promote the show though. This story likely didn't end up in the press by accident.

I remember seeing in the article that he’d like to be an actual contestant if he had the chance and see how he’d do.

I'd love to see the questions he answered. How do we know they weren't easier than regular Millionaire questions so Jeremy can practice the big money reveals?

I really like the second milestone rule. If the contestants play it well, they could get a lot further than they would with the set milestones or if they had to choose the milestone before the game begins. The "Ask the Host" lifeline I'm less sure about. I get why they introduced it, but it's more useful to people who don't know much about Jeremy's interests than to those who do. Still, it's a free additional lifeline. Also, and maybe it's just because English isn't my first language, but I find the following sentence a bit strange, "Once a contestant plays fastest finger first and wins a place in the chair, the security team will enter both of the ‘phone a friends’ residents." Apart from the Big Brother touch of having a security team in front of your house the entire night, shouldn't it be "enter both of the phone a friends' residences"? "Entering a resident" sounds painful to me.

Ask the Host as a lifeline? Strange, but we'll see.

"Entering a resident" sounds painful to me. Yeah, you're right, it should be residences. They could maybe have gotten away with resident's, as that's kind of a colloquialism for someone's home in English. (Don't know if this is the case in other languages) If it wasn't a typo however... I think we should just leave them to it... One thing I've never got about the second milestone is how does the music play? Obviously if they set their milestone at £32,000 then it's as normal, but if, say it's at Q8, does the £8,000 win play or the £32,000, and then the other music moves up one to accommodate? Anyway. I'm really looking forward to this now! I'm busy on Saturday evening (yay...) so I better try and remember my ITV hub password pretty sharpish

I think they'll use the same cues throughout regardless of which safe haven they choose.
Keep in mind, it's sort of like this for Hot Seat in Australia. There's only one safe haven but they have all the same cues for each step on the ladder.

but they have all the same cues for each step on the ladder. Except the fact they use the R1000 Winner for $1,000 and $10,000 --- and the R32000 - Winner classic if the top prize is under $1 M.
