Hello, everyone! As Super Millionaire was running in 2004, it was shown in the classic format, just like back in it's counterpart Millionaire. But when it was cancelled, Millionaire's format started changing over the years: to the Syndicated, the Clocked, the Shuffle and the current format. But in case Super Millionaire should be brought back in the future, what format would be implemented for it and how would it look like? Is it possible that it would be different from the one that we currently see on WWTBAM? So, I'd like to ask you: If ABC should bring back Super Millionaire, what format would you guys consider to be the one used for it and why?

If ABC should bring back Super Millionaire, then the Syndicated version or maybe the one used in WWTBAM Philippines could be the one used for it, because back in the old days, when it was shown on IBC 13, it ran for almost a year until its decline due to the VIVA Studios fire. In the TV5 version, it ran for almost six years and almost eleven seasons, and the lifelines and money tree, they are far better than the one used in IBC 13.

Hmm... the Syndicated version sounds quite interesting. That would make it a more advanced version of Super Millionaire, but I kinda have a question: Do you think the money tree would remain the same as back in 2004 or get a change in case the Syndicated format should be used for the show? After all, when the new format first premiered, the money tree remained the same until late 2004.

I would say if Super Millionaire was to come back, I would wanna see the UK Clock Format being used. Many viewers would want to tune in to see people at the high tier questions.

That'd be amazing! It would certainly be appealing for Super Millionaire, as there would be a different format in the U.S. aside from the current one. I could see Meredith or Regis maybe taking place as the host of the show.
By the way, I wonder if 2waytraffic and Disney are going to work on the format of Super Millionaire together if it should be used in the show.

As I'm making an on-paper game with the same format to WWTBASM, I'd want to use 10 lifelines, with each lifelines reveal after the player correctly answer it right. But I don't think that ABC are going to be generous asthey giving away 10 lifelines for 15 question; so why don't they make up a 20-question money tree and making more music add to it? 10 lifelines I'd want to use includes 50:50, Phone a Friend, Ask the Audience, Switch the Question, Plus One, Double Dip, Ask the Expert, Pass/Cut the Question, Jump the Question, Ask Three of the Audience (which is a lifelines used in Vietnam, which is my country) and my home-made "Reuse the Lifelines" which give the player a chance to reuse 1 of the lifelines they have already used.

I think as soon as you put anymore lifelines in than 5, the show becomes ridiculous. The whole point of the Lifelines is to help the contestant a few times, but with their own knowledge being the main thing that wins them lots of money. As soon as they have a lifeline for every question outside of the first tier, it becomes too easy. The only reason there was five for Super Millionaire is that the question difficulty was made so that you used your first 3 before you reached the $100,000 mark, and then you got two more to try and get you up to maybe question 12 or 13 at a push.
Also, by extending the money tree to accommodate more lifelines, the game would become very slow and possibly quite boring, as very few people would probably make it past halfway. Imagine if hardly anyone won more than £/$/€/Other 8,000 in every episode of the normal show. I don't really think it would be worth watching.

I think, in my opinion, put five lifelines as the norm and not extending or shortening the money tree. 15-question formats are as popular as 12-question formats. If the revamped Super Millionaire would air, the money tree would have looked like this: 50:50 Phone-A-Friend Ask the Audience Switch Double Dip 2,000,000 1,000,000 750,000 500,000 300,000 250,000 100,000 50,000 25,000 10,000 5,000 2,000 1,000 500 100
