Hi, everyone! Ever since the 10th Anniversary celebration of Millionaire, Fastest Finger First has not returned to the current US format of the show, which is the Shuffle format. But what if it was actually brought back to WWTBAM and introduced in a new style? Well, in my opinion, this is how it could look like: Of course the studio would have a few changes - I think the seats would be similar to the old ones used back then. The contestants would also have screens in front of them to lock in the order of the answers for the Fastest Finger - question. When the show finally begins, the opening would be the same as before, but then the host (Chris Harrison) would announce that there would be 10 contestants in the studio competing to play for $1 Million. After the contestants are introduced, the Lights Down cue would play and Chris would read out the question and the answers, while the Ask the Audience cue would be playing in the background. Eventually, the time would be up, and the answers would be shown first and then scrambled into the correct order. When that is finished, the contestant who had got it right in the fastest time would be shown and the $100,000 winning cue would play. And finally, while the Contestant Entrance cue plays, Chris and the contestant would both go to the podium. What do you guys think about it? Should Fastest Finger First really be brought back to the Shuffle format? If it should, how'd you personally design it? (P.S. By the way, I want to apologize for this thread being kinda weird, but I guess I just wanted to put a bit more creativity in. )

First of all, the current format is not the shuffle format, it's a modification to the classic format. Second, I'm pretty sure they removed fastest finger for time's sake.

They have never done FFF in syndication. It's been that way in syndicated Millionaire since 2002, when Meredith Vieria took over.

First of all, the current format is not the shuffle format, it's a modification to the classic format. Second, I'm pretty sure they removed fastest finger for time's sake. It probably posed a logistical challenge, as well. Getting that many people to the studio for the required duration of time would have been challenging on the syndicated schedule and budget.
