Tonight's the night, folks! Millionaire returns in style to celebrate it's 10th anniversary. Regis is back, and so are the lights, the music, and the million dollar top prize.
The five year wait for primetime Millionaire to return is finally over. The day has finally come, and new primetime episodes will be airing for the first time since this website opened years ago.
Enjoy the premiere episode, and make sure to post your thoughts here when you get the chance!

As I am unable to watch it, I made do with the original first episode (and a bit of the second one) - which I posted over here. Remarkable, though, how far it's come, eh!?

The first episode was fantastic, as expected. The graphics and music were fantastic, and Regis was on the top of his game. It's just a joy to watch primetime Millionaire. I look forward to watching for the next 10 nights, that's for sure.
The intro sequence was set to the 2008 theme (with applause in the background) with a "through the years" montage flying by on the screen. The official logo was one we'd never seen before- it was dark colored and had the "10th Anniversary" designation in the hexagonal"question graphic below the word "Millionaire."
The score was a mix between the Super Millionaire score, the 2008 syndicated score, and several new themes made for the 10th anniversary celebration.
Strangely, there was no "time's up" buzzer. The game shifted from the finishing contestant to the celebrity contestant without it.
My only complaint is that the online play along game on ABC's website malfunctioned early in the game. Several questions weren't shown, and when the game was fixed the rankings were switched up. Although the problem was resolved, it was enough of an issue for my rank to drop from the top ten to under 100 without anything even happening in the game. I hope that doesn't happen tomorrow.
Overall, I'm really excited for the next two weeks! Millionaire is back in a big way!

I've got the episode, and I will probably be able to post it on YouTube in a few hours. I don't know if someone else will upload it before me though.

An acquaintance in the US sent it to me not long after it finished. I'm currently uploading the first ten minutes of the episode.

Nope. And they didn't use it tonight, either. But really, only diehard Millionaire fans noticed that anyway. It's such a minor thing.
Tonight's show went a lot more smoothly than last night's. The contestants did very well, Regis was better adjusted to the game, and the whole show flowed much more smoothly. Another fantastic episode.

I doubt it, sadly. Although I would buy it if it were released.
I think a "Best of Millionaire" DVD set is long overdue, especially when you consider that other gameshows have gotten that treatment in the U.S. in the last few years.

Pity, I've got the original Brit DVD ('Magical Moments and More'), exploring the details between 1998 through to 2001.. AND Regis' show is mentioned at one point in it!

I think you'll find that the graphics from there come from the UK 2nd Edition PC game, did you notice that?

That can't be. I have the UK 2nd Edition PC game, and the graphics are nothing like that. The graphics of the play-along game look just like the graphics on the 10th anniversary show.
Since you're in England, I wonder if international visitors to the site get a different game.

No no no, I mean, the graphics before the login page - here: Of course, I haven't actually played it myself - methinks it's restricted to US residents! Incidentally, what does the game look like, anyway?
