Hey guys,
I was in NYC last week, and I had tickets to see one of these primetime episodes. I spoke with one of the ushers, and I asked him if the show will be broadcast in HD.
I am happy to inform that his answer was YES!! ;D
While I was at the show, Regis's pant leg was getting stuck on the hi-top of his shoe, which was aggrivating me. So I told him to fix it. Basically, his reponse was very "him". So being myself, I blurted back to him a very witty comment, and I had him on the floor laughing for a good 10 seconds before they started the 1st Fastest Finger Round.

IDK, I was looking through the guide on digital cable and, while the shows that are scheduled around Millionaire were shown as "Broadcast in HD", Millionaire did not have that marking.
I really hope that the guide is wrong though.

I recorded it on my Comcast DVR but unfortunately the show was not broadcast in HD. I'm assuming it's either because:
A: Regis wouldn't look the best in HD
or
B: It costs a ton of money to get a control room generating HD video. Millionaire is probably using mostly equipment from when it first started running in '99, judging by the way ABC does things.
