I don't like in the USA so I don't know what channels are in Canada, but after a quick search for Canada's TV guide, I found this, available on this URL:

That is a plan that would indeed not fail... however... how can you be sure that it's restricted?

Most of the time, due to some copyright stuff etc., websites allow to watch full episodes of series if you're a resident of the country the series are aired. I'm 75% sure that if you're not from USA, you won't be able to watch it unless you find a proxy.

I've just checked on random abc series. If you try to play full eps, the following message appears:
Only viewers within United States can watch these full-length episodes.

Well, it is possible, but not simply by going to the ITV Player on the website. You obviously need to make it look like you are in the UK. I don't know if it's still possible with proxy servers, they may have found a way to block it.
