What would happen if in the current incarnation of the Aussie set of Millionaire, we would be able to witness another Million dollar question, how would it go, especially pertaining to the set lighting? Ever since they did an overhaul to the set and graphics beginning 2015, the highest level ever played was $250,000, won twice with the set lighted in dark red. The million dollar level has never been reached but the lozenges in the money tree might give the idea. Actually, the $1,000,000 lozenge is actually colored either a dark blue or black. (Watch Millionaire Hot Seat episode and notice when the $1,000,000 is not anymore the top prize, it's a dimmed black or dark blue---the gold just represents that the amount is the current top prize as of the moment. --notice when the other lower amounts do become the current top prize, they also become gold lozenges.) Since the color of the lozenges are sort of similar to the set color, could it give us the idea that we will witness a dark set on the Millionaire Hot Seat should another player gets to have a go at the ultimate question?? And what would be the lighting effects for the set should Australia have another millionaire? Maybe that's where the gold color comes in and that would remind me of the background color for "The Chase Australia" when the team wins. I don't know. Only time will tell. What do you think my forum mates?

I fear that Australian WWTBAM will never see a $1,000,000 question asked ever again.
It has been about 3.25 years since the last one asked (and that was before the set change)
I also feel the producers are so confident that a $1,000,000 will never be asked, they must have not tested the colour for the $1,000,000 question. Notice how sometimes glitches (when the lights down music for the first question plays) shows the $250,000 red colour for less then 1 second and not the $1,000,000 colour.
If somehow a $1,000,000 question gets asked, I think that dark blue would be the colour. But again, we will 99% likely never see the $1,000,000 question being asked again in Australia.

Here's the exact point of what I'm trying to say... The color of the million dollar lozenge is some sort of dark blue... It's plausible that it may be asked again but maybe after a couple of years more I think Knowing the fact that the format itself makes it complicated to get to a perfect finish...(getting the first 14 questions correct will guarantee that the 15th question to be asked will be worth $1,000,000 but because the format itself demands winning through teamwork, stock knowledge and luck, it's really hard to do it. Having already only seen 6 players go through the million dollar question and all failing, it is really hard to win the promised title. This is really a perfect format if the tv networks would want to be selfish and do some budget restrictions...JUST SAYING :/// But again like any other Millionaire formats, should there be a top prize question, the set should be deeply darkened to emphasize how important the question is. And the set at the start of the game,in the first place, in my humblest opinion should be orange not red for the following reasons: 1. It is not a color representation of any of the colors in the money tree. By the looks of the red now, its similarity to the $250,000 level could mislead the viewers into thinking that this show should be called "Who Wants to be a Quarter Millionaire" 2. The red seems a bit off and that the orange keeps the vitality of the show. It's bright and represents more hotness that the show wants to emphasize.

The Olympics are coming to an end so TV networks over here in Australia have shown promos for their shows coming up after the olympics. Channel 9's ad for 'New Shows after the Olympics' says something about a "history making Hot Seat". Could it be that we finally see the $1,000,000 question being asked again?
I am 100% certain that it will not. Because another ad, this time directly for Hot Seat, says that this coming week (22nd - 26th) will be a "Massive Winners Week". I suspect that the lowest won for this week will be $50,000 and you will see $250,000 won on one of the five episodes.

With you saying that, ausgameshowfan , I would want to watch them... I really do hope to see at least the million dollar question since 2013, Hot Seat runs for already 7 years and hasn't got a millionaire yet. The fact that in the Hot Seat fornat they are just relying on sheer teamwork, retained knowledge and luck and with the dreaded pressure of the clock makes it complicated to win the top prize. And I would presume when these Big Winners Week episodes were taped, they came from out of chronological order and collated huge winning episodes together. I think this will be Aussie's channel 9 tactics in their attempt to win back audience from "The Chase" which is very much outperforming them every episode... But on that note, I would want to anticipate history making in the "Millionaire Hot Seat" in that week for a millionaire. Fingers crossed XXX
