I agree with the suspense. With Harrison on board, it shouldn't be that hard to revamp back to how everything was from 2004-2010. EDIT: Judging how the $100,000 Pyramid, Celebrity Feud, and Match Game fared this summer, I'd bet ABC would get the idea on how to reboot game shows. Here's hoping they'll do the same for Millionaire in about 3 years' time, maybe sooner than that. I was thinking the same exact thing to myself a while ago. I mean I get that ABC/Disney might still be a little bitter about the lawsuit a few years ago, but with Sony now in charge of Millionaire (at least in name only), I figured there might be a shot. Especially with the landmark anniversary coming up soon. I think ABC still has the "rights" to the show, considering both logos show after the ending credits. There might as well be another chance between the two about a potential deal. We might as well wait and see what happens in 2-3 years. Maybe sooner, but who knows.

Right now, if I recall correctly, ABC has distribution rights to the show. (Same way how say CBS owns the distribution rights to NCIS and how it airs on USA Network (owned by Comcast Universal/NBC)... So essentially Sony owns the rights to produce the shows... ABC controls the rights to its distribution. That's part of the reason how non-ABC stations in the US are able to air Millionaire's syndication episodes.

I thought ABC also had the rights to produce through Valleycrest Productions since that company is part of the ABC Entertainment Group.

Wait...if Sony owns the rights to Millionaire, why haven't they gone after any episodes uploaded on YouTube the way they've gone after Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Pyramid, and Barry/Enright game shows?
As for the move to Vegas and choosing Bally's...my advice: After getting rid of that fancy entrance *outside*, they may want to use it *inside*! (Anyone who's visited it at least once or twice should know what I am talking about)

Who knows, really. Millionaire may not be as popular now as it was back at its peak, and thus relies more on the other half-hour shows during the evening, where there's much more of an audience.

Sorry to be reviving a pretty dead thread, but I just noticed one thing that irks me about the show moving to Las Vegas. I haven't heard any local news at all or even a single commercial from the show to come see it. There's been very little exposure, and you'd figure that they would get a little publicity while they're here, being a relatively well-known TV show.

This is a bit troubling... but maybe it's because Millionaire has had the traction like it used to?
