Hi all,
I'm in a slight dilemma:
As some of you are aware, I'm in the contestant pool for "Millionaire." I'm also heading to California to Star Wars Celebration and attend a taping of "The Price is Right." I'm really tempted to Come on Down. However, by doing so, I risk my eligibility for "Millionaire." What should I do?

I would stick with the spot you have so far Div, price is a very slim shot you get called on down. Plus it's also a crap shoot on what game you would get on the day if you got up on stage as well. Millionaire is a sure shot for money since the top is 1k even if you lose out on level 1. Price is a bit different since a friend of mine from florida attended 2 tapings with his boyfriend. If you get called on down and don't make it up, the one thing people don't know if they didn't watch the 2 screen special that happened on youtube last year. If you don't get up stage by the final act the minimum you go home with for just the come on down and being on camera is $300. I know wha??? $300 the show did away with parting gifts a few seasons ago and opted for this instead which i think is a good thing since it saves on the budget right there, but they could have made it $500 in my opinion since you are there for more than 2 to 3 hours for one taping alone.

I'd stick with Millionaire.

I wouldn't risk your eligibility for Millionaire. You're already in the contestant pool, so your odds of being selected are much higher than they would be at TPiR. Also, as it's already been stated, you're guaranteed to walk away with at least $1,000.
Besides, Millionaire would be a dream come true. Think carefully before throwing that opportunity away.

Couldn't you attend PiR, and if you get called on, see how you do and then decide? If all you win is A Lovely Dinette Set, just forfeit your winnings and retain your eligibility. Assuming that's how it works.
Didn't Todd Kim do something similar? He was on Super Millionaire shortly after he taped Jeopardy. He only won $2000 on Jeopardy, so he forfeited it in favor of the $500k he won on SM. That's the story I heard anyway.

I too would say Millionaire, but be aware which show as you can not get to another gameshow for a year. So beware on that one.
