When the clock format was in use, I was wondering when about when the clock and it's associated music was started during a question. I was watching on YouTube to try and work it out for myself and I could figure that there is a special piece of music used for when the clock starts after all the answers have been read by the host. I couldn't find any actual episodes on YouTube using the clock format.
Are those statements correct?

No. The old question beds were entirely remixed and had a little bit of a faster beat to them.

The lights down cue would play (which was remixed) followed by ONLY the question appearing & being read by the host. The 4 answers would appear at the same time and the heartbeat music would begin. As for the speed of the remixed cues, they were NOT sped up. They run at the same speed as the original mixed music.

SO the remixed cue would be played after the question and four answers were read? Is that also when the clock/timer started?

The music cue began after the question was read, at the same time that all four answer choices appeared. The appearance of the answer choices marked the beginning of the music cue and the start of the clock.

OK. Now I understand. That was nice and clear RegisFan . That will be very useful in the development of my Host Screen application.

Go on Youtube and search for Ken Basin. He was the only contestant to have blown the $Million question in the US. His moment happened during the clock era.
