What things would you like to see in a WWTBAM game, yet the designers seem totally oblivious to it?
Picture this: you've been asked to make the game by one of the big game companies - what features would you put in? Maybe some new lifelines or the ability to change the money tree! Let's see a few ideas!

Well, if you ask me, they'd do well to create a PC game tribute to Play It!, as such:
===
Title: Disney-MGM's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Play It!
Game-Type Graphics: New engine/It runs on its own
Type: Quiz/Disney/Historical
Online Player Limit: 25 - 30
Rating: E - Everyone (game experience possibly changing in online game play)
Tagline: The hit Disney-MGM Studios attraction - now at home!
Objective: The retired Disney-MGM Studios attraction is (at last) recreated in loving detail on the PC. Delivering the atmosphere and tension of the adaptation to the hit TV series, the whole audience will be able to play against each other to fight for the right to win a million dollars... but as the game doesn't come with a million dollars, we're going to convert your financial winnings into points. With an exciting Disney twist to it all, it will take nerves of steel as well as brains to land the big prize!
Requirements: - 256 MB - 2 GB Hard-Drive space - DirectX 9.0 C sound and video card with 128 MB
===
Whaddaya think?

Actually considering that the 10th anniversary primetime shows are coming next month in the U.S. I think it would be AWESOME (and I would expect) that Buena Vista Interactive and 2waytraffic would make a special edition CD-ROM not only including the game but special footage over the years of Millionaire being in the U.S. (got to include footage of all the millionaires, syndicated and original primetime...maybe even behind the scenes footage of how Regis prepares for the show, etc.). I mean I am just LOVING the way Michael Davies is promoting the 10th anniversary episodes and they promise to be an EVENT!!!

Michael Davies deserves a lot of credit for his promotion of the 10th anniversary episodes. People are actually getting excited for Millionaire again! I think the next game should be an accurate simulation of the 10th anniversary edition. And I think that Buena Vista would be foolish not to release such a game, although I said the same thing when Super Millionaire debuted. But, I certainly think there's a chance, and I know I'd buy it the day it was released if it came out.

I've written down the specifics of that sort of game, just in time for the actual feature itself:
===
Title: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? 10th Anniversary
Game-Type Graphics: New engine/It runs on its own
Type: Quiz
Online Player Limit: 4 - 30
Rating: E - Everyone (game experience possibly changing in online game play)
Tagline: Regis Philbin hosts Millionaire!
Objective: 10 unforgettable years - the first country to have a million-dollar winner - and of course, the greatest game show to hit America - now, the original (nearly) is back on your PC! Hosted by the legendary Regis Philbin, the whole family can play in the fast-paced classic for the right to win a fake million dollars. As usual, 15 questions stand between you and the million, with the lifelines 'Double Dip', 'Phone A Friend', 'Ask The Audience' and 'Ask The Expert' avaliable should you need them.
Requirements: Never mind the requirements - just make it the best! So long as I don't have to get a new video card for it..

How's that?

That reminds me.. any news about if they're going to release any merchandise about it? Otherwise, I think I'll do the board game next - that's if I get to see at least a bit of the episodes...
