Hey all :3
Browsing through the YouTubes and watching some game shows got me thinking about the part that can make or break the game: The End Game. The part of a game show that usually gets the contestant to play one final challenge in order to win the grand prize. I want you guys and girls to tell me what the best and worse end games you have seen in shows.
My favorite 2:
Russian Roulette: had a fantastic end game where the contestant had one last spin on how well they did on the previous 5 (10 in season 2) questions. The prize? $100,000. Absolutely nail biting and has been proven that a slim chance can win.
Avanti Un Altro: Now this Italian show has one of the best end games I have ever seen. The contestant plays for the money they have banked in the main game and in order to win it, they have to get 21 questions WRONG! Only 2 choices for each one and they have 200 seconds to do it in, but the speed of the game is insane when compared to US game shows. The stakes of the game are usually in excess of 100,000 euros so the game is worth quite a lot. Worth a look at if you are interested!
My bottom 2:
The People Verses: This show is in my top 5 underrated shows of all time. A very entertaining main game that allowed contestants to win limitless cash and people at home to take a bit for stumping the contestant. The happiness stops though when the contestant has to play 'The Gong Game'. The contestant tries to save some of the money by stopping the amounts read at them when they think the gong is going to be the next amount read. The main problem is that it brings a fast paced game show to a crawl and it just seems out of place. If they ever (and I highly doubt it) bring it back, they NEED to get rid of 'The Gong Game'
Red or Black (Series 1): You win 500,000 pounds on a ball landing on either red or black in an over sized roulette wheel. The laziest attempt at an end game I have ever seen. The entire game show is just lazy too!!
