Phew, tough question. I'd either have to say Fort Boyard, Takeshi's Castle or Pointless. Probably Pointless because of just how unique and light hearted it is.

Pointless in my opinion is Pointless because they could easily make up the results... It is not knowledge just random guessing. Appreciate your opinion though

Pointless in my opinion is Pointless because they could easily make up the results... It is not knowledge just random guessing. Appreciate your opinion though Well in some questions it's guessing but a lot of time, mostly the majority, a lot of people have good knowledge of the subject so they're more likely to get more obscure answers.

You are right, because it is based on specialist subjects and their own knowledge inside their brain, however there is no way in proving that the BBC polls are correct for a Pointless answer. If they were low on the money, they could just say answers are not pointless, For instance when 1 Person gets it correct you can only presume that it is staged.

My favorite hands down is Supermarket Sweep. I really, REALLY hope that they can eventually bring the show to GSN since they did so with Shop Till You Drop. I also like Wheel of Fortune quite a bit, as I grew up with the show. And lately I've been watching press your luck every day on GSN. To be honest there's really no game show I don't like

How could I forget supermarket sweep! I loved the idea of walking into a normal place like a store and just chucking things into the basket for fun, combined with the initial questions. The Dale Winton 'Wild in the Aisles' was quite amusing. Wheel of fortune has had a long tv run, but is a classic gameshow!

Wheel of Fortune these days just feels too rushed if you ask me. They always cut every spin down and it honestly doesn't feel the same. I'll still watch it every now and then, but I liked the older episodes a lot better.

Yes well Wheel of Fortune is getting old these days. Exactly like Millionaire in the UK, they are running out of ideas. Also it is a syndicated version I believe so that does make sense. I agree!

Why can't Wheel of Fortune do some kind of tournament? Maybe that can raise their ratings.

You know milliondollarsav that is an absolutely brilliant idea! I cannot believe that I did not think of that one myself! Any ideas on what the rules would be like?

Maybe I should talk about it in another thread.

Why don't you? It is a simple but brilliant idea! Tournaments really seem to boost ratings, especially if done well.

Also, one of my favorite shows that had a short run on both CBS and GSN (rerun) was "Pass the Buck". I liked it so much to the point that I actually hosted my own version of it at an Anime convention a few weeks ago, and I called it "Pass the Yen!". Here's a video of it: I definitely need to work on a few things with the show, but it went pretty well

I am quite impressed there! I am also glad that your performance went well. Those wanting to know a bit more about the show I have enclosed a synopsis below... Gameplay Four contestants compete to give a list of items that fit into a specific category announced at the beginning of each round. The bank for each game starts at $100. The order of contestants giving answers progresses from left to right and $25 is added to the bank for each correct item. If at any point an item is repeated or the judges deem a response incorrect, the next contestant in line can eliminate the contestant before him/her by giving an acceptable response. If that contestant also fails to give an acceptable response, the third contestant can eliminate the previous two in the same manner. The fourth contestant can eliminate all three of his/her opponents if they each successively give incorrect responses. However, if all the contestants give incorrect responses, that question is thrown out and play resumes with a new question. A new round begins with a new category after one or more contestants are eliminated from the game. Play continues until one player is left, with that last player winning the bank and going onto the Fast Bucks bonus round. Fast Bucks The Fast Bucks round is played on a triangular board with four rows: one box on the top row, two on the second, three on the third, and four on the bottom. The winning player begins on the bottom row and is given a category with more defined answers (e.g., people from Happy Days, U.S. States). The player has 15 seconds to give as many answers as possible that fit the category, trying to match any of the ones on the current row. Revealing at least one answer on a row allows the player to move up to the next one. The process is the same for the other rows. If at any time the player fails to reveal any answers on a row, the bonus round ends and the player receives $100 for each revealed answer on the board. However, if the player reveals either all of the answers on one row, or at least one answer on every row, he/she wins $5,000. The same four players stay on the show until one of them wins the $5,000, at which point the other three players leave the show (but keep any money won up to that point). The $5,000 winner faces three new challengers.
