I was relatively disappointed in the Wii Millionaire: 2010 Edition. The animations were lousy and there were hardly any. Especially during the "lights down" effects. (I mean, c'mon, that's the big suspense moment for Millionaire, they could've done something with the lights in between questions.) Also, a few of the cues are placed in the wrong places. Grant it, I didn't expect them to perfect the sound effects. I give the Wii 2010 Edition a 6 out of 10.
Now on to the Xbox 360 2012 Edition. This uses the Shuffle Format. I bought the game last week thinking it would be better. I was disappointed even further. There is a little light animation... however, they do not use the "lights down" cues at all for Round 2. Nor do they play the "Classic Millionaire Intro." And to my further* disappointment, they did not even include the $250,000 - $500,000 Question backgrounds, or any of the win $100,000 - $500,000 questions. Biggest disappointment of all? Last night I made it all the way to the end. And they didn't even play anything for winning a million dollars. Not even the main theme... it just says: "Total Winnings: $1,000,000" and "<Name> MILLIONAIRE" for a brief moment with some poorly animated confetti... These are just a few of the main issues. It was truly a let down and actually rather boring. My rating for the 2012 Edition: 4 out of 10.
Has anyone else purchased the games and shared some of the same disappointments that I have?
