If Primetime Millionaire came back because of 2waytraffic's purchasing of the property, what would you want to see done to the show? Some influential forces behind Millionaire have read these boards, so why not try and push what the fans would like to see.
For one, I'd like the music to the stay the same. A different set would be cool, as long as the main design stays faithful to the original. The gameplay shouldn't change, but new lifelines would be nice, especially some of the ones we came up with in the "lifelines" thread.
What do you think? What direction do you want Millionaire to take if it ever returns in the spotlight?

Ooh, tough question Regisfan. Definitely bring Regis back. There's just no question about it. He IS Millionaire! I'd also like to see some more unique camera angles. Maybe some sliding crane shots again or something. I'd also like them to use some of the Super Millionaire music in the regular game. Change the current "Explain the Rules" cue to the one used from Super Millionaire. Of course there's the new intro, but other than that, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yeah, Regis would have to be in it. It would be a crime not to let him host.
MM, you make a great point about the Super Millionaire music. The SWWTBAM soundtrack was superior to the regular one, so I'd like to see some music from SM in the regular game.

I also wouldn't mind seeing some color changes to the set too. Like when they did for SWWTBAM. Change the color of the large light panels for each tier. (Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the yellow, pink, blue pattern for primetime!)

One question I would like to bring up IF Regis were to return to primetime (PLEASE?!?!?!?...lol)with Millionaire do you think that would correlate well with Meredith doing the sydnicated version as well? For example the primetime one would have the Fastest Finger and the syndie not having it...stuff like that. Do you think that the producers/directors of Millionaire would be up to have something like an option of whether to go on the prime or syndie version?

Well, I think that they should be conducted as two entirely separate games. Contestants for the primetime version would call the number, and contestants for the syndicated version would have to take the test. As for the set, it's entirely the same except for the fastest finger seats, and those (I beleive) are just wheeled out and plugged in. It wouldn't be that hard to pull off, but someone would have to make an effort to do it. What do you say we pool our cash and start our own tv network for Millionaire?  |
