Lifeline - Phone a friend

for the phone a friend lifeline, is it ok for the friend to Google the question, and even worst, is it ok for the persone reading the question, read it slowly and repeat it?

i heard someone'd friend's keyboard clacking - actually, everyone on the show did.

isn't that cheating?

I know it is on the UK version, but I don't know for any other version.

Regis/Meredith has said that it is PERFECTLY LEGAL to use a computer to find the answer to a phone-a-friend question on the show. I was surprised myself to hear this, but I think it is nice that they allow it.

For what it's worth, I read that as of the next season, this won't be allowed on the Australian version. I'm hoping we don't see this new rule on the US version too.
