In addition to the upcoming PS3 port of their Who Wants to Be a Millionaire video game, it seems that Ludia will be releasing a Millionaire Facebook game as well. Because this version will seemingly be built from the ground up specifically for Facebook, chalk this one up as an all-new Millionaire game. Like the PS3 game, there is no definite release date given, but the game is listed as "coming soon" on Ludia's website. www.ludia.com/en/games.php

If it is made from the ground up, you'd think I'd be related to Season 9. Although, I'd rather see the Season 7/8, especially with the multi-player version, like on the Wii (i'm not sure about the other systems if they have it) It would be nice to have the potential to play with friends. Possibly have the same stack of 15 questions and play against a friend, and who knows, maybe the better of the two would win something special, i don't know. It's just a thought. So glad to hear this, thanks Regisfan for the update! Do you have any inclination on a release date or when it may launch?

It's definitely built from the ground up because they'd have to do it in Flash (or a Java applet, but who uses those anymore honestly).
Unfortunately, because they need to make money off it somehow, they will probably charge on a "per episode" basis like Family Feud does.

Unfortunately, because they need to make money off it somehow, they will probably charge on a "per episode" basis like Family Feud does. Very true, leimeisei, but if they want more people to play and for it to become popular, they would need to give people a freebie. Like a free episode a day or an accumulation of episodes, similar to the Price is Right. I really enjoy Wheel of Fortune on Facebook, they let you keep a record of all the money you've earned and then buy collection items based on props of the show which gives you Wheel coins, you'd use those coins to buy episodes or bonus items. It would be interesting to have something similar to this, but instead of bonus items, buy lifeline uses or something. There is still an opportunity to buy episodes and Wheel Gold so they make profit. Lastly, many users bring in advertisers so if they can easily pull in many active users, companies will be interested to give money to Ludia to sponsor their product in the game. So, entirely, I don't believe it to be a pay game.

Do you have any inclination on a release date or when it may launch? Unfortunately, no. Ludia is terribly frustrating at communicating their release schedules. One gets the impression that they release things whenever they get around to finishing them.

That's probably the best time to release it... once they're done with it

'Tis better to eat bread that is fully baked, instead of taking it out and trying to eat dough just because the package said 20 minutes.

Sounds like a Bible verse... sort of. This is coming from a high school junior who has gone to Catholic school all his life. :/

Well it's at least not shuffle, that's for certain. It could be classic format but I'd strongly doubt that.

Judging from the picture I've seen, it looks like they're using the shuffle format.

Judging from the picture I've seen, it looks like they're using the shuffle format. Well, they're using the Shuffle logo, it seems. That's not really confirmation either way, though. This will be interesting. If Ludia has the rights to the Shuffle format, it's possible we'll see a Shuffle console game from them in the future. I know fans complain about Ludia's Millionaire game a lot, but there's no doubt that it found an audience this holiday season. That game was everywhere, and it seemed, at least in my area, to sell decently well. I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of sequel this year.

Bahaha. I went to go play it and it just reloads the page constantly. Good job Ludia.
