Hello! jotasegundo did his facts about ¿Quién quiere ser millonario?, so I decided to make facts about Polish version - Milionerzy.
• „Milionerzy” started on 3rd September 1999 and since the start it’s been broadcasted on TVN.
• "Milionerzy" means "Millionaires" in English.
• They were broadcasted in 1999 – 2003, then 2008-2010 and 2017 till this day.
• The Polish version has started as 8th in the world.
• Jan Kępiński has been a director from the very beginning of the show till today, despite the fact that the programme was produced by three different companies: Endemol-Neovision, Intergalactic and Jake Vision.
• Originally “Milionerzy” were to be based on the Dutch version, what can be seen on this trailer published few months before the show was broadcasted for the first time. For an unknown reason the decision has been changed and the show is based on the UK version.

• Between 1999 and 2000, “Milionerzy” had their own logo and the opening inspired by the UK’s version.
My recreation of the logo (I know it's not perfect, but I tried my best, believe me):
And here's the opening from 1999:
• Despite the fact that we had our own logo, opening, the rest of the graphics – money tree, lozenge etc. were Classic [ same as in UK or most other countries in the worlds ]. In 1999, contestant had 3 lifelines to use – 50:50, Phone-a-Friend and Ask The Audience.
• From 2001 to 2003, Milionerzy used UK’s logos with polish titles and UK’s openings.
• This program was the first quiz show in Poland to offer such a big win. One million zloty is about $250 000.
• In Total 20 Final Questions were asked. First one was asked on 21 October 2000 for Władysław Kostrzewski. If you want to see every question, here is the link to a thread I made in January.
All Million Zloty Questions in "Milionerzy" [with translation]
• 3 people won the top prize. Krzysztof Wójcik in 2010, Maria Romanek in 2018 and Katarzyna Kant-Wysocka in 2019.
• Winner’s last questions were always asked in March:
-Krzysztof Wójcik – 28 March 2010
-Maria Romanek – 21 March 2018
-Katarzyna Kant-Wysocka – 14 March 2018
If you look at the day of the month, you can see that the next winning happened a week earlier than the previous winning.
• In 2002 Milionerzy used the entrance to the studio in the shape of the Millionaire logo.
• Filip Łapiński is the only one person in Poland who has wrongly answered the last question worth million zloty. It happened during the Children’s Day Special Episode in 2002. After losing he got a bike and some board games as a gift.
• In 2003 the show went on 5 year break because, according to an article I’ve read, it became too expensive. It came back in 2008 with a new graphics and studio.
• 18 year old Dagna Sieńko, who won 500 000 zloty in 2008, later said that she was taking a wild guesses and in most of the questions she didn’t know the correct answer.
• In 2009 “Phone-a-Friend” lifeline was replaced by Ask The Expert.
• In 2010 the 4th lifeline was added – Switch The Question.

• By the end of 2010, show went to another, 7 year old break. It came back in 2017 and it’s being broadcasted till this day. The show takes place in a new, beautiful studio, which is one of the best in the world in my opinion.
• Sony also thinks that Polish version is one of the best in the world.
• According to the rumours, Hubert really likes the UK version with Jeremy Clarkson.
• In 2017, Milionerzy appeared in the very popular TV series “Na Wspólnej”, and somewhere around 2000 – 2001 it appeared in “Miasteczko” TV series.
