Hi guys,
I wanted just to let you know that the France as a new set and the first show with this one start tonight...
Note : videos will be in the fan games section soon, but I think that all the community can see the new french set...

Was the stage raised? It looks like the contestants' feet are eye level. Plus, it looks like there was a column infront of you. Was that a problem?
Also, did you get video?

My eyes are having a significant problem trying to figure out perspective issues and those new "columns" are not helping.

Was the stage raised? It looks like the contestants' feet are eye level. Plus, it looks like there was a column infront of you. Was that a problem? Also, did you get video? Nope, the stage is at the same level than before... For the columns, I don't know... But I think that were they have been recreated in this way, so the set have a more modern look... As I'm nostalgic, I prefer the old ones but our new set is not too bad... ---- Also, with this new set, we have a new opening titles... For videos, I have 12 files but the upload is very long with my connection... For 1,70 Go, it takes over 2 hours for uploading... |

The spotlights in the last photo are epic! I'm counting 23, unless I've missed some, pointed at the camera. Imagine seeing those in person!
BTW @millichris, how did you get that last photo? That looks like a camera POV.

BTW @millichris, how did you get that last photo? That looks like a camera POV. I've found this picture on the Didier Froehly's twitter account, who is the director of this game show in France.
The spotlights in the last photo are epic! I'm counting 23 Yes ! I think that our new set, as an "epic" number of spotlights
visible to the camera... I think that is the first time that I see so many spotlights on this game show !
And... there are more spotlights than 23... 31 visibles to the camera, whose are in light blue ; 12 spotlights in dark blue and some spotlights hiding with all those lights !

They look great! What do you mean by new opening titles? How are they different to the other ones? No, it's just an another opening version of the rave format, take a look :

GSK, As I can understand... You seem not really... convinced by the new french design ?... Ok... But I understand you... When I saw our new french set, I think to myself : "What the heck is that ?!"It looks like that I'm nostalgic and my favourites was the old ones sets... And certainly the new ones, never replace the old ones... Let's take a look at this new set : modern, beautiful, spacious... And this is the first time that in France, our set is renovated... IN 14 YEARS !!
For someone, maybe it breaks the spirit of the set or the game... But, for that a game show continues to be aired, it's necessary that the set changes : look in USA, the set has been changed many times and the show runs always... |

I LOVE this set. It's definitely in my top 3. It's a modern take on the classic design, and at least it's still round (not dissing India, but I'm not crazy about a square set). As someone who is studying television in college, you have to make small changes here and there to keep the show "fresh" in someway. At least it's not a change to the gameplay.
Again, this is a great set. The only thing that bothers me is that the spotlights don't fade, they simply shut off (using the video @millichris posted as an example).
@millichris, how many people did the studio fit? Also, is the floor see-through?
