That's season 4. The studio looks better, but I can't say it's very good. It looks like the shuffle version of Millionaire. The intro of season 4 (not this, someone montages for very big atmosphere) is very awful. The two people has hosted this show! I wonder is first version in history has two hosts.

And too many sponsors on this show is very weird. I can't read the amounts of money tree, because Afghanistan uses special symbols, when can't read to Europeans or Americans.

I was put 2 of 5 - graphics not good, studio not very good and too many sponsors!

I mean seriously?!? What the heck is up with all that yellow!? It looks like Deus Ex: Human Revolution blew its nose all over it! And the advertising... making it subtle like AT&T doing the PAF is okay but putting it everywhere the eye can see? That is overkill to infinity!!

I don't think this is an official version. The set looks too low budget to be believable. Given that they are on such a small budget, it would not make sense to change the graphics package. It is, however, quite an elaborate fake. Maybe its a parody or something by another tv show?

Maybe it's official version, because I seen the looping Millionaire backround, staff on the end and male host was remind me as first host on the version. And woman who like than second Millionaire.

Must be a very low budget in that country, at least they didn't use Green/Blue Screen!

You guys mustn't forget that Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries in the world and currently at war. A lot of people have no education, many are illiterate, so I doubt a show where knowledge is essential would get a big budget in the first place. Also, a lot of money will go towards warfare, not funding entertainment. If the broadcaster had enough money to build a big set they probably wouldn't need to decorate the studio with the logos of their sponsors. It all looks like a bit of a joke to us, yes, but that only shows how lucky we are to live in countries where shows can offer a million dollar payout just like that. It puts the everything we talk about on this forum into perspective.

And I find it hilarious that they have two hosts and stylish mugs. That's so breakfast television

I suppose you are right, but there is no excuse for messing up the OSD and the audio so badly. Come on, I can do a better job than that, and the whole Shams Production with their Shams London Acadmey is supposed to be a legitimate production company. However, this looks like they have recorded the show in the kitchen and edited it in Camtasia.

Btw. If you go back to the video Mech has posted, listen closely to 1:30. The "Out of commercials" cue is exactly the same as the one that has leaked out on the interwebs back in 2008. Coincidence?

Well, that's indeed awful. Besides the question whether this is an official version or an unofficial one, I'd like to mention something else.

As far, as I know, there are three different versions of WWTBAM in Afghanistan.

This one is by SHAMS production. The hosts are Tasal Khan and Adila Sherzai (the first one only in the preceding version that was posted by JessHack33)

The two other versions were produced by ARIANA television and they seem to be more official to me. They both use a studio that's quite different from the previous one.

On the one hand, there's the pashto version hosted by Najeeba Faiz.

On the other hand, there's the dari version hosted by Khatera Yusufi. By the way, she appeared on a celebrity special of German millionaire since she's half Afghan, half German.

While this set isn't a good one compared to the international ones, it definitely looks better than the crappy set from the SHAMS version.
