Hello my peeps and I am back again with another Millionaire format!
One thing that I have been becoming more addicted to is Millionaire: Hot Seat (Partially that it is the only common Millionaire in NZ) and I was wondering if there was a way to make it more frantic or tension filled. So I watched some Millionaire Shuffle and thought to myself
So I thought a bit and came up with this!
Rules: 2 Players play but with one sitting in the back while the other one plays. The game is set into two parts: Duel and Hot Stakes.
Duel: A FFF question is played to decide who goes in the Hot Seat first. The duel section is a hybrid of Shuffle and Hotseat. The money tree (see below) is shuffled and a random money amount is put behind each question. The host will ask a question and the contestant will have 30 seconds to answer it or Pass. If the contestant is right, the contestant takes the cash behind the question and adds it to their bank. If they are incorrect, then the cash is lost and the player switches seats with the other person and they begin there chance to build their bank. After all the questions are gone, the player with the most cash moves on to Hot Stakes and the player with the least goes home with half their bank.
Lifelines: 50/50, Double Dip, Pass (can use both on same lifeline but any unused goes into Hot Stakes)
Pass: If the player hasn't got a good idea about the answer they can Pass. The other contestant has 30 seconds to answer the question and if they get it wrong than the cash goes to them and they swap places. But if the swapped player gets it correct than the swapped player gets the cash and stays in the Hot Seat.
Hot Stakes: Hot Stakes is a much more heated version of Hot Seat. The player gets 5 questions with increasing value and increasing time limits. The first question in this round starts with 1 minute. If the person gets the question correct, the money amount is added to there bank and any time left over gets carried over to the next question where another minute and 15 seconds is added. If they give a wrong answer or run out of time, they lose half there bank and go home.
Lifelines: Ask the Audience, Firesale
Firesale: The Firesale allows the person to Jump The Question with more consequences. 3 Quarters of their bank is put at risk and they have only the remaining time on the clock for the next question, no extra time is added. They also cannot walk away from the question. If they get the question correct then half their bank doubled and the amount of the question is also added.
Money Tree:
Duel: $15,000
$10,000
$7,500
$5,000
$2,500
$1,000
$750
$500
$250
$100
Hot Stakes: $500,000
$250,000
$100,000
$50,000
$25,000
I hope you can kinda get a grasp on what I am trying to say and all feedback is appreciated. :3
