My favorite is definitely the clock format cue for questions 11-14. That really is an amazing orchestration of an already great cue. The way it builds in intensity as the clock counts down is really phenomenal.

My Top 5 are: 1. like many before already said : the Q11-14 clock music 2. the original Q1-5 music 3. The longer Million Dollar Win music (e.g. when Nancy Christy won) 4. the 10th anniversary intro music 5 and the shuffle millionaire, round 2 walk away music These are my favorites but i gotta say that the millionaire music is unbelievably great and thrilling as a whole. I just hope I'll be able to hear it live once.

I joined the forum just to answer this question (so greetings, all).
By far my favorite cue—and I really love all the cues from pretty much any edition of "Millionaire" (though you all seem to know a hell of a lot more detail about the different renditions than I do, and I thought myself pretty educated on the matter)—but by far, my favorite has always been the million dollar loss cue.
I'm not evil, I'm not rooting for contestants to lose when they're so close… I'm just an aspiring film/tv composer, and as far as creative direction goes, writing something that is so elongated and gut-wrenching when all the other loss cues have been "quick letdowns" just amazes me. It's really a great study.

My favorite would definitely have to be the "Let's Play" cue in Shuffle Millionaire.

My favorite cue has to be the £/$1,000,000 win cue- am I right in thinking it's the same across all versions? Each time I've heard it, it seems to be the same as the original UK version.
I also LOVE the US clock music- especially the 45 second timer for the higher tier questions, the way it builds in the last 10 seconds is awesome.

For the most part. In the US, the million win cue was edited to be about doubled in length. And of course, now that US Millionaire uses the Shuffle format, the music has changed.

Ah yes- I've heard the extended cue- if I remember rightly it simply loops back to the start and repeats the cue twice. I've actually not seen a lot of the new Shuffle format- has the million win music been heard yet?

The cue has only been heard in the video game adaptations, not on the show itself.

The cue has only been heard in the video game adaptations, not on the show itself. It was heard on the 1500th show special.

My favorite is the season 8 million dollar question cue. As if the music couldn't get any more tense, the clock noise in my opinion adds to the tension.

I agree the clock adds a lot to it- especially in the last few seconds where the music fades out and leaves just the ticking clock. Although I doubt anyone would ever let it get to that stage during a real show!

My favorite music cue is most definitely going to have to be the "Let's Play"s in the high amounts (where you really hear the high pitched violin). It sounds so thrilling and amazing, and reminds you of what game you're really playing! Also, like someone else said, the Phone-A-Fried (and the similar Fastest Finger First) sound cues are really fun as well
