I'll be watching the first few minutes on my laptop, as I'm in Russia at the moment. Let's see what they come up with for the intro (always a hot topic) and by the looks if it, the rave music is going nowhere. According to digitalspy, they are using AUS- style video calls for Phone-A-Friend

Any musical or cosmetic changes, outside of the clock?

Well, there are numerous changes: - The intro has been tweaked slightly, adding the STQ with the lifelines and adding a clock reminiscent of the US Season 7 intro.
- The money tree background is darker and the '£1 MILLION' text has been changed to '£1,000,000'
- The question graphics now have hues of purple in them
- The lights have been revamped! They're pretty!!
- There's one clock ticking soundtrack that's VERY catchy
- There are family pictures and video again
- At the end we see the contestants again as well as the prize money they won.
- Little purple droplets leap from the ATA bars before the results!!!!!
The only problem is that they got rid of the name strap completely. They ought to have kept it like the syndicated US show.

I really like it! It looks brand new and fresh, to me it seemed a little needed. I am surprised, like FrankT, that there aren't any contestant name straps.

I think it looks fantastic now. The clock is nice, and so is the soundtrack! Although I do have to say that Chris reads the answer a little quickly at the beginning. It makes me wonder if the contestants aren't allowed to interrupt him, so that way he can give as much time as possible. Either way, it's better than this... But yes, love the new graphics, new music is good as well, and this really does save time. Oh, and finalanswer, the person is currently in the middle of uploading all the parts.

I think he reads them a little to fast too and the video you posted, I didn't even get what was funny when Regis was reading the question.

The contestant made a face just before the answers popped up. Watch her closely; it is funny, but they shouldn't have started the clock

My thoughts:
-The set upgrade is fantastic, and the lighting effects are some of the best of all the formats worldwide. -That was a nice touch adding the clock to the intro, although I would have preferred an entirely different animation. -As with the US format, I think the clock works well and adds a lot to the game. -The music package is improved dramatically by adding the clock music. Now, this new music does not even come close to comparing to Matthew Strachan's original score, nor is it even half as good as Strachan's amazingly composed current US score (with the clock woven into the classic game music). However, it's at least catchy and not nearly as generic as the previous rave music, which is still present but is mostly covered up once the clock starts. -Chris reads the answers a bit too fast, but he adapted nicely to the new format.
Overall, this is a huge improvement for the UK format, although it still could be a lot better. I'd be very happy if I lived in the UK, though, because this refresh was badly needed and was executed fairly well.

They'll be gone by the weekend - they're well over 10 minutes.

Actually, YouTube raised its video limit from 10 to 15 minutes.

Overall I like the new makeover, however, in my opinion, I would have preferred a consistent soundtrack for all questions, rather than change between clock/normal. Not sure about the purple tinge to the graphics, but otherwise, job well done
