Okay, here's one that would probably kill a contestant's winning streak in no time. Easily a $250,000 question.
What is the most common street name in the United States?
A. 1st Street B. Main Street C. 2nd Street D. Park Street
The answer, oddly enough, is C.

FrankTNope. According to the Census Bureau, Main Street comes in 7th. 1st Street comes in 3rd, Park Street comes in 5th.

Probably because the Main Street and the 1st Street are the two alternatives for the actual Main/1st Streets. The number of Main Streets AND 1st Streets is probably equal or even bigger than the number of 2nd Streets. These, however, don't have an alternative name. Logical, eh?

Yeah, you're right on that. There are almost 11,000 2nd Streets across America, but the total of streets named Main OR 1st amount to nearly 17,000.
Spouting useless info, sorry.

It's probably a long shot, but I'm going to try and make this section as interesting as possible. I'll try to post a new question every day, along with a suggested monetary value and answer. Hopefully, it will drive more traffic over here (hopefully).
So, without further ado, here is the question.
Suggested Value: $50,000 Which of these "ministries" is NOT part of George Orwell's "1984"?
A. Ministry of Freedom B. Ministry of Love C. Ministry of Truth D. Ministry of Peace
Correct answer is A.

Question Of The Day: August 6th, 2010
An attempt to make this interactive. If my plan of action needs to be moved to the RPG section, please let me know. You have until 5:00 PM GMT (12:00 PM EDT) to post your answer to the question. A few guidelines:
1. Please don't cheat and look up the answer. It should be common sense for most of you. 2. Only your first answer counts. 3. No entries accepted after 12:00 PM EDT.
If you post a correct answer, you will show up on the leader board. It will track your cumulative earnings throughout the month.
(Again, if this is against the rules of this area of the forum, let me know). -------------------------------------- Suggested Value: $100,000 Which of these U.S. states was the first to be admitted to the Union in the 20th century?
A. Idaho B. New Mexico C. Utah D. Oklahoma
