theidentfan: theguitarman19 I know, but given the trend this year (Poland, Turkey, Poland, USA, Poland, South Africa) it won't be surprising...

theomorton: Hi Matt, I was reading your post and I understand you have access to a question database? I'm working on a personal hobby project and was looking for a DB of questions. Can you help? Thanks ahead!

probium: Sound design of Arkadium Millionaire is flawed. Once I get the final question wrong, I get treated to the $32,000 lose cue, NOT the $1 Million lose cue.

I think it's good that the Indian version does not follow the pack which is to have the same English studio of 2018. And in terms of music, always excellent the one since 2019 composed by the Ajay-Atul brothers (for me, they are second behind the Strachan's of my favorite music from the show to tell you clearly).
However, I find that there is a downside, an important problem: I find that the production of the show wants to show emotion, and I would even say a lot. And I find that more and more, we are giving way to a soap opera rather than a cultural game show. This is from my personal point of view, and when I see comments on videos of previous versions of KBC (talking about the attitude of the former candidates, the clear and sharp and not long speeches of Amitabh Bachchan etc... ), I tell myself that I am not the only one alas.
This is my secondary account, which I use temporarily.
We’ve seen a similar trend in the US over the last decade or so (not necessarily with WWTBAM, but with other game shows), with a tonal shift away from pure gameplay toward manufactured emotional moments. Even the contestant casting process has shifted from “let anyone play” to “seek out the most excitable, emotional people.” I can’t say that I’m a fan, and most people I’ve talked to about it agree. I hope someday the trend shifts back to real drama derived from gameplay and presentation versus the scripted stuff.
Afterwards, I tell myself that it's the fact that time is passing, 20 years later, that they are afraid of tiring their own viewers. Game shows are starting to be seen less and less by young people.
Unfortunately, I'm in a good position to talk about it, because in France, we'll say for a year or two, we no longer have this kind of game show (like WWTBAM, the Weakest Link that hasn't been broadcast since 2015 and other games very famous in the world).
Now young people are not at all interested in this show, now they prefer to be interested in bul*sh*t (pardon the word but if there is a Frenchman in the forum, he will say the same thing as me I am sure) that he there is on TV (reality TV and talk show genre that makes some young people sick). So it's above all not a reason what I'm saying, it's an explanation that could explain this kind of decadence.

i think the most interesting addition to KBC's format is the advancement in technology besides its beautiful design.
Today's "Play Along" Special had the new camera drone quite a lot in use. And tbh.. these are never seen before angles and views which revamp it even more in presentation other than gameplay
Giving an interesting 360 degrees view of the set during opening sequence
Doing an US-like Camera Craneshot with the drone for Fastest-Finger-First win
And hovering above the audience, to see what they see in set during credits

Is this drone used in the opening of the first episode?(When Mr.Bachchan go from the tunnel to the main stage)

I'm wondering why Indian's "Crorepati" from 2010 to now is absolutely excellent about the studio, it may even better than UK or USA. Such a studio.
Loads of cash raked in so big investments also pay off big. Pretty simple. Remember that India is easily the biggest television market, with a fifth of the Earth's population being served.

The final question 17 of a possible 17 will be seen next week! Somebody will answer Q16 and get to 1 Crore! After 7 people making decisions on the third safetynet question Q15 so far.
Also in past Friday's episode, they did a troll fastest-finger-first question. They basically went straight to FFF, asking that question, and then told what was behind it.
I guess it was the first episode after Amitabh's return from a 10 day Covid break.
