It's official-Greek version is returning soon!!!

From yesterday,Ant1 tv started airing casting call trailers for the new series of "Poios thelei na ginei ekatommyriouchos",and the application forms are open for anyone wishing to be a contestant .Tapings are beginning soon, and it is expected to premiere during the first months of 2022. Unfortunately, the top-prize is only €100,000 not €1,000,000 as many had expected,so I suppose that it will be airing on a daily basis like all the previous versions.New host has rumored to be Grigoris Arnaoutoglou,but there isn't any official announcement yet.New logo is british-style,but with question-marks only,no euro signs like the older logos

The information regarding the reboot has been known since late 2020 xD
They plan on premiering the show in February 2022.

Those are called the “Revival” graphics, and they’re the current standard. So they’re obviously going to use them.

It is going to delay a few more months.Is is not expected to premiere earlier than April.Casting call trailer is airing continuously, but filming hasn't begun yet.

That’s a bummer! Did they give an official reason for the delay? I’m assuming Omicron, but this version has been pushed back a few times now.

Nothing new from the Greeks. I’m pretty sure ANT1 nearly lost the rights to the show at one point because the people at production company weren’t happy with all the delays from the network. I believe they’re launching the show after Got Talent, because the host of the upcoming reboot is a judge on that show. Either way, this wait better be worth it. I will genuinely be disappointed if it turns out to be bad.

Yeah,it is true that the production company wasn't very happy with all those delays,as the show was initially planned to launch in fall 2021, and it was rumored that Star channel was very near to stealing the rights from Ant1 TV, but finally rights remained on Ant1.The reason for that delay is supposed to be the fact that the host Grigoris Arnaoutoglou is also judge to Got talent and host of a late night show and it would be too much for the same person to be present at 3 shows in the same time, so they decided to launch Millionaire after the end of Got talent, which was originally planned to air from late October till early February. But unfortunately Got talent was pushed back due to technical difficulties and lack of contestant applications.It began in early January and it is going to end in late March, so Millionaire is expected to premiere in early April and it is going to be a daily format, not twice a week as it was originally planned.

Bad news again.Unfortunately the long-awaited come-back of the greek version has been pushed back once more.Premiere has been postponed to early May, right after the Easter break.The exact reasons for that long delay are not fully known.I don't think that the reason is covid because many other shows with live audience are currently airing on greek TV.It maybe has to do with financial reasons or technical difficulties on building the new set.Τhe new European energy crisis due to Russian-Ukranian war is probably another inhibiting factor. Filmings are allegedly planned to begin within March but nothing is confirmed officially from the network.I won't be surprised at all if the channel finally decides to launch it in fall 2022.On the other side, the good news are that 2 days ago it has been announced that MBC group invested on Ant1 Group by buying 30% of its shares.MBC channels have been airing Millionaire format in Arab world for many years, so their long experience about the show will probably be helpful to the greek producers to achieve the best results

Ugh. Well, I wouldn't blame them if the Ukrainian conflict is affecting finances and slowing production down everywhere (and not just on Millionaire). I mean, it is "only" a game show, and sometimes there are more important things to think about.

Sad to see the show pushed back again, but hopefully this wait might be worth it.

Finally some good news.According to some newspaper reports, set is almost ready and filmings are about to begin in the next days.Possible premiere date is Monday, April 25th.
