It’s not, but it’s very close to the original design with the logo in the top left corner. In other news, “Quiz” will debut in the US on AMC in May!

I don't know if you've noticed, but the recreated set has only 9 steps next to each column, whereas the original had 10.

The columns look exactly like the columns that were used from 2001-2014. So close that I would be surprised if they didn’t use those exact same columns.

On the "Final Answer" podcast they had mentioned that the set was actually the set from the Hungarian version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire.

Looking at it now, I'm noticing more inaccuracies. For example, Paddy Spooner said he appeared on three versions of the show, in Australia, Ireland, and the UK - except he didn't actually appear on the Ireland version until March 2002, six months after the Major Fraud happened. It might be one of those things they changed to make it more interesting, but now I know about it, it kinda bugs me.
And another thing, where was the old, boxy computer area, with the box of cash in the middle of it? Its nonexistence causes more continuity errors.

He also said they don't check if you've been on international versions. In truth, they were well aware he was on in Australia; they commented on it on the air at least twice.

Actually, I'd love to get the soundtrack to Quiz. I mean, whatever Murray makes the music for, he turns it Gold.

Refer to this thread... regisfan.proboards.com/thread/3804/hot-seat-podium-evolutionPics are mostly from the US version, the basic design of the Hot Seat is still there. I know for the fact that monitors used for the Final US and UK classic Hot Seats are the same LG model.

On the "Final Answer" podcast they had mentioned that the set was actually the set from the Hungarian version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. That's not what I'm told; apparently they rebuilt the set at Wimbledon Studios.

It was an option they considered, but the Hungarians insisted that they'd bring their own crew to build and disassemble the set, which was too cumbersome and expensive, so they built a custom set using the plans given by Sony (who owns the Quiz production company). Idolsfan

All things considered, I think they did a good job on recreating the old set. Sure there are a few things off, but it still brought back a lot of nostalgia to the days of the classic Millionaire shows.
What actually annoyed me a little bit is that Michael Sheen (the actor who played Chris Tarrant), when reading the questions, sometime didn’t read the question in its original form 100% correctly. But that’s probably just me.
