theomorton: Hi Matt, I was reading your post and I understand you have access to a question database? I'm working on a personal hobby project and was looking for a DB of questions. Can you help? Thanks ahead!

probium: Sound design of Arkadium Millionaire is flawed. Once I get the final question wrong, I get treated to the $32,000 lose cue, NOT the $1 Million lose cue.

FrankT: Good grief, nobody told me they revived Wheel of Fortune in the UK. Looks like I have something else to watch now!

probium: For some reason when I click on a lifeline I already used, it freezes. Also the sound design is flawed, with the normal question wrong theme playing in place of the early question wrong theme.

On 2nd of September 2019 the special 20th Anniversary episode of German WWTBAM version - "Wer Wird Milionär" will be aired on RTL. It will last 2 hours and 45 minutes. Here are the new logos and the trailer.
It's worth mentioning that Germany also released a WWTBAM board game for their 20th Anniversary.
Hi. I am Pyciek - my real name is Michael. I come from Poland. I live in Poznan city. I'm a big fan of Polish WWTBAM version called "Milionerzy". I've been in love with it since its return in 2017. I vaguely remember watching it with my family as a child. I'm hardly working on an internet version of "Milionerzy" called "Milionerzy NET". It has the same rules, but instead of Phone-a-Friend there will be Ask the Host lifeline. The first episode comes out in August this year.

Glad to see another country getting an anniversary special of Millionaire. The show is slowly but surely coming back to life, and this one will hopefully be as big of a success as the other specials in the other countries before it.

(you did that post right before i was able too xD) A) you missed one "L" in the title "Wer Wird Millionär?" B) yes so far so right ^^ the logos you took are from the WWM Blogspot page ^^ The original 20th anniversary logo will look exactly this way:
C) About the special itsself: On TV Air Duration: 3hours (removing ads, around 2hrs30min) The Rules (Introduction) as you probably know Germnay has this "Would you like to play Classic or Risk Mode?" at the beginning, where classic means = Q5, Q10 are the Thresholds and you have the classic 3 Lifelines 50:50, PAF & Ask The Audience risk means = Q5 is the only threshold but you get the additional 4th lifeline (german: "zusatzjoker") where you can 1 audience member for help (no time limit + no matter what the contestant does, he gets 500€ if he said the correct answer)
In the 20th anniversary, there wont be the question for that. 1) All players get both safety nets & the 4 lifelines 2) Only questions from the last 20 years get played! Yes you heard right! Germany played around 32.000 questions in total over the past 20 years. And this special show will only play questions from that pool of questions. 3) The entire audience is filled with former contestants/winners (both regular & celebrities) including Millionaires.
About the board game.
i bought a copy of it ^^ The board game contains 750 Questions from the show. No additional / new ones. They are all from the show's last 20 years. So its a game that will make you remember of moments, funny bloopers & highlights that you will remember if you go through them.

Hmm... so if there are any longtime fans of the show playing in the 20th anniversary, they may be able to remember a few of the questions from the past. It's very curious that the show would decide to do that. I wonder how it will play out.

The only thing thats quite interesting is that these questions get played by a bunch of new contestants (both regular & celebs) So they have the invited folks in the studio + new regular/celebrity contestants ^^
So if you imagine there around 200ppl (former contestants) invited, and it could happen that somebody else plays the question they played years ago, its the typical playing along on the couch feeling You (should) know the answer! while the others in the hot seat are sweating

And now here is the official teaser (teaser number 4 in total) which actually shows something from the show ^^ > Everybody of the 216 Audience Members has their total winnings from their run tagged onto them
Short Teaser Translation - Teaser Voice: A very special episode for the 20th anniversary
- Jauch: "Our audience is filled with former contestants only"
- Teaser Voice: with very special rules
- Jauch: "All questions have been asked already"
- Teaser Voice: But that doesnt help everybody
- Jauch: "How many out of 1400episodes have you seen?"
- Contestant: "I was 4 when the show started"
- Teaser Voice: "But the audience is smart as never before"
- Contestant: "I cant waste my lifelines like this"
- Teaser Voice: "20 years WWM, next Monday 8:15PM"
(also a screenshot from that teaser [the FFF state])
I get that they need to be visible to the camera and everything, but I think those tags are a bit too big and look kind of tacky because of it. They must be a little annoying for the former contestants to wear.

20 Jahre "Wer Wird Millionär?" - Das Große Jubiläums Special Date: September 2nd, 2019 TV Channel: RTL Host: Günther Jauch
Resolution: 1920x1080p Frame Rate: 60fps Bitrate: 6500kbit/s File Format: .mkv (as usually from my recordings with OBS)
I'd like to quickly state a few of my thoughts regarding the 20th Anniversary special of the show: Not only was it quite innovative with the additional/redone changes to the actual game, but it also delivered an interesting experience by adding more variety to the Anniversary concept. As the trailers had already shown, the audience was filled with former contestants of the show, which was a neat idea, since I assume they were definitely quite helpful for the new contestants, if they remembered a question that they had faced before. (This is where the Additional Lifeline/Zusatzjoker was redefined to contribute to helping the contestant, as the people chosen most likely knew the answer beforehand.)
Now I'd like to bring up the U.S. 10th Anniversary celebration to make a bit of a comparison. For example, there were more additions which remained exclusive to the specific format (such as Fastest Finger First). While I personally believe that to be beneficial for the concept, since this would actually define Anniversary celebrations, it is also important to find a certain balance for these additions (practical idea & no risk of making too many things exclusive). This, in my opinion, was perfectly handled with the re-use of questions from previous episodes because of delivering the feeling of re-experiencing something that had taken place a long time ago - and as RegisFan had already said, it could really pay off for people who had been longtime fans of the show... which turned out to be true.
Overall, I enjoyed the concept that was put into use in this anniversary. It'd be interesting to see what kind of impact this might deliver to the show for future episodes.
