Recently I've been binge watching a lot of the newer episodes of Australia's Hot Seat with Eddie McGuire. I've noticed that if a contestant starts going towards an answer, but doesn't lock it in such as, "I'll go with A" and it's correct, he'll lock it in for them and immediately declare them as such. However, if a contestant does the same for an incorrect answer and doesn't lock it in, he'll ask them if they're sure, or if it's their final answer, or if they'd like to use their pass. One episode I watched had the contestant go from D to B to C because of Eddie's uncertainty in five seconds, only for the right answer to be A. I haven't really seen any other hosts do it as obviously or as frequently as he does it, and it seems as though the answers are on his screen from the very beginning, or he's informed of them before the show, whereas other versions have the host have no contact with the answer until "final answer" is said by the contestant. Does anyone else who has watched Hot Seat feel the same way I do, or is it just me?

I think he is trying to help people or it was to be so.

Yes, but I didn't think that was allowed. Sometimes he even realizes what he's doing and says something along the lines of "don't let me change your mind." Don't get me wrong, I love him as a host, and he's definitely one of the big reasons why the subpar Hot Seat is still around after this long. I just thought this to potentially be something he's not allowed to do.
