‘The new series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? has been pushed back to 2024 in a major ITV scheduling shake-up.

The show, which has already filmed its new run of episodes, was hit by the delay due to ITV's coverage of the Rugby World Cup this autumn.

Millionaire is just the latest programme to be hit by the World Cup-related delay, following hits Grantchester and The Jonathan Ross Show, which will now air next year.’

Maybe Jeremy wasn’t sacked for the upcoming series, but it gives me some worries.

‘ITV boss Carolyn McCall - whom Piers Morgan previously claimed forced him out of Good Morning Britain - seemed to confirm that Clarkson will not continue in his post beyond the next series, which has already been recorded.

'We have a contract. We're contracted to this [season], so we will do that,' said Ms McCall to Variety magazine, adding: 'And then we have no future commitments.'

Speaking of Clarkson's column about Meghan, she added: 'We don't endorse that in any way... there's no place for that on ITV.'

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline earlier today: 'As we have said before, ITV has a further series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contractually commissioned (which has now recorded), and no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently.'

So, what’s the future of the show in general if Jeremy isn’t brought back? It’s been good since the 2018 revival, giving people Millionaire without every Saturday for years like with Chris. It has me worried because there never seemed to be a doubt since the 2018 revival, until now.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? returns to ITV 1 in the first quarter of 2024.



No date has been confirmed yet, however we do know that the new series will air either in January, February or March. One of those three.
