I'll start. First, I found it hard enough to follow. I was always used to the fast pace of the original Hot Seat, but now that they've added a Fastest Finger First segment, I find it useless since the only thing it does is allow a contestant to "buy" one (1) lifeline, why not all 3? Give out bonuses for every 5 questions so that one contestant can buy all three (3) lifelines.
Speaking of lifelines, they did away with Ask the Audience?! I'm ok with the implementation of 50/50, Ask Your Friend, and Switch the Question, but at least work the audience back into the game or something!
Setwise, I don't see any differences between lighting effects. It seems like all they do is ice blue for the first tier and who knows what else for the next ten questions. Whatever happened to the super dark lighting effects that focus only on Eddie and the contestant? I'm curious.

They got rid of the dark lighting around a few seasons ago in favor of the LED heavy set.
And yup, ATA was removed. I think it has something to do with the cost of working the devices.
I also agree that they should've just found a better way to add in the buy a lifeline. (15 Fastest finger questions?! REALLY?)

To be honest, I liked the original format better. I mean, sure, they ditched the lifelines for a single "Pass" for each player, but the format worked, and the game went really quick under the old format, which made sense, as the show was a half-hour long. Now, it's as though the game just drags on just a bit too much. The FFF segment is just too tedious and useless when the only thing you get for winning the first part is $1,000 which you can buy a lifeline with if you want. If I were running Channel 9, for a good hour-long Hot Seat, I'd do two games in the same hour, similar to what ABC does for Celebrity Family Feud, and the current incarnations of $100,000 Pyramid and Match Game. That way, there'd be more game, more players, and more money to be won.

I have heard some people have stopped watching because of the new format. I noticed however that there has been a slight graphics change since the launch of the new format. There are now graphics showing who won the FFF question.

I personally don't think the new Hot Seat format is too bad. However, I will agree that it does drag on with the FFF round going on for half the entire show. It gets boring after a while.

I can't believe they actually made Hot Seat worse.
The preliminary round is a total grind. 15 minutes of Fastest Finger, and that doesn't even determine a player. Once that's done, we're back to the same broken Hot Seat format.
If I'm not mistaken, Hot Seat and The Chase run at the same time. You can watch the full first round of The Chase, and not miss a thing on Hot Seat.
