Milionerzy (Polish WWTBAM) |2017| Vid links + discussion

As of February 9th, 2017, the Polish version of WWTBAM is back on air. There have been a few changes to the format, so here's a quick breakdown of all the info:

-The episodes are now 30 minutes long (including a 5 minute ad break) and the show is aired at 8:55pm Monday-Thursday
-A brand-new set has been built, based on an upgraded design from 2008
-Like in 2008, the 12-question format is used
-Ask the Expert (introduced in Sept 2009) and Switch (introduced in March 2010) have been removed in favour of reverting back to Phone-A-Friend
-The Phone-A-Friend is a hybrid of UK's PAF from live shows and US "Plus One"; the contestant brings a companion to the studio, where they get closed backstage without internet access etc., they also do not know the question beforehand; however, only one friend is allowed to be the PAF
-The show uses the newest rendition of European graphics (blue 'flux' background, blue question lozenge with glint, US Season 7 style PAF/ATA)

I'll have to say, if the studio design was to incorporate the generic look with the elements of the French and Finland versions. Then they have done a good job of it. Also the return to basics (apart from the 12 questions) does work well and kept it true to original at most. I think this version of Milionerzy has redeemed it's self and a way of using the "Phone-a-friend" lifeline works well

I agree! This is how Millionaire should be, compared to that other Australian show which i'm not going to mention the name of.

I take it that the lifelines shaded in red means that they've already been used? It's kinda confusing not to see the traditional red X's there.

Yeah it bothered me too when I first saw it. Blue means unused, red meant used. (Australia did something jarringly similar during the original.)

I wonder if the production of the program on this occasion did something interesting on this occasion.
