If Who Wants to be Millionaire did what Deal or No Deal did...
What I mean is this...
What if "Millionaire" did an episode or two featuring contestants playing in the international sets of other countries like what Deal or No Deal in the USA did to its contestants???
They let their contestants play for American money in the set of their counterparts and let the local host be a co-host of the show. The video above shows Deal or No Deal USA host Howie Mandel doing in the Philippine set hosted by Kris Aquino.
What if Meredith Vieira or Regis Philbin or current Chris Harrison will have a program or two or even special week of episodes in which they will feature American contestants playing for money in other sets of "Millionaire" and the local host will be a co-host of it.
I'd love to see the hosts do their hosting duties in other parts of the world. I wish they would have done it. It would be fun, and it would at least reflect that the "Millionaire" Franchise thrives around the world and to get to know other hosts and stuff. Aside from the Philippines, Deal or No Deal USA also traveled to Estonia and South Africa (I think NBC was a little biased here since they only selected international variants that follows their "pagentry" format).
If "Millionaire" did something like this, in which international set of "Millionaire" would you have it?
If I were to be asked, here are my top 5 picks:
1. UK
2. France
3. Saudi Arabia
4. Germany
5. Australia
I'm not picking India since although the set is nice and unique, I just feel that they will have "culture shock" on the setup.
What's yours?
