Let's knock each of these out consecutively. Hi, retched. I am so far getting first impressions of your first Alpha. So far, everything looks good, but what is annoying is frequent error messages. It was this one, "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine." Is it my computer or is it the software? I don't know if it is already mentioned or not in your announcement, but it looks good right now. EDIT - It won't let me add a category, player, question, etc. If there is any problem related to that, let me know. There are no problems here, I have Office 2007 and the files are 64-bit. My computer is a Windows 10 64-bit. I must not have Microsoft Office on my computer. It's not enough to just have MS Office installed. You need to have the drivers for the database. If you can't connect to the database, then nothing DB related will work. So if you pressed "ignore"/"continue" to that error, nothing will work. You need to install the Office Redistributables 2010 32-bit version to get it to work. If you get an error message saying "You cannot install this because you currently have the 64-bit version installed..." STOP. Message me, I'll help you with getting it to work. retched I do have Office and I’m 99% sure it’s 64-bit. Read the above response for luckysuperlee. I'm having the same problem as well. I have Office 2016 (It came with the full Office 2016 installed), 75% sure it's 64-bit, and I used the 2010 redistributables (Since I tried the current ones, and they didn't work because when I tried installing the 64 bit version, it said I needed to delete the 32 bit files, and vice versa happened when I tried installing the 32 bit version), but it still shows that darn error every time I try to do something. I'm hoping you're able to fix this, sooo yeah. Don't install the 32-bit AND 64-bit. You should only need the 32-bit version. There is a way to get both on there but it involves using a command prompt. Message me when you're available and I'll help. There are no problems here, I have Office 2007 and the files are 64-bit. So did you install the 64-bit version or 32-bit version of the Office Redistributable?

OK, so I've had the same 'microsoft.ace.oledb.12.0' issue when running the app. The 32-bit version of the 2010 Office Redistributable did the trick and now it works fine (I'm on Windows 10 64-bit, BTW.)
Also, I have a bug to report:
At a controller screen, after the 50:50, when I select the Final answer, I can't reveal the correct one. The "Show Correct Answer" button doesn't work.

Do NOT install this on 64-bit. It should only be 32-bit. I'm trying to keep track but you said everything is working for you? I'm trying to track down the database errors.

retched, would love to try out your controller mate, but I just wanted to ask, will it work on a Mac? Well, since it's a Windows app, it may not work on a Mac. Unless you install a Windows virtual machine and run that way.

Well, since it's a Windows app, it may not work on a Mac. Unless you install a Windows virtual machine and run that way. Exactly as Paul G. said, since it's VB.NET, you have to run it on a Windows System. However, Visual Studio is now available on the Macintosh. I do know though if there is a way to run Access database applications on the system though. I'm trying (narrowly) to avoid having to use a full blown DBMS like MS Server or MySQL or anything like that since it'll require a bit of bloat in the background.

I am wondering how I can display the official screens (Host, Audience, Contestant Screens) because I saw the counter for connections and I am assuming they are referring to the 3 types of screens. Can you tell me about it and how it can be done?

Can you tell me about it and how it can be done? As I mentioned earlier, you'll need either a video card that can display on multiple monitors or multiple smaller machines each connected via a network to do the connections.. Right now those numbers are just placeholders for a diagnostic I plan on including to count how many connections are being made. (ie: You can run several host screens, several contestant screens, etc... so long as you have enough devices and ways to put them up.)
